If you love your pet, do not bring them here. I brought in my cat already very sick. Over three visits and roughly $1,600, I was steered toward one treatment after another — “let’s try something else” — without anyone being straight with me about how bad off he really was. By the end he was barely breathing, barely moving, visibly suffering, and the recommendation was still to keep going. When I finally brought him in to be put down, they charged me a visit fee on top of everything else because he “had to be examined” — as if the previous three visits and $1,600 hadn’t examined him enough. Then medications we never got to use, still sitting here unopened. Then the cremation charge. $2,200 later, after all that suffering, he’s finally at peace. Thank you, Forever Vets. Let me be clear: this is not me grieving and lashing out. I’m at peace with losing my cat. What I am not at peace with is an animal being allowed to suffer for someone else’s financial benefit. That’s exactly why we are reporting this clinic to the Florida Board of Veterinary Medicine — so it’s on the record. I don’t believe my cat’s comfort or my understanding of his condition were ever the priority. It felt like the priority was the next charge. Heartless. I would not trust them with any animal I cared about in the future.
