We homeschool our 2 daughters and we all enjoyed their marine science cruise. The crew are so kind and very knowledgeable, answers all the kids’ science questions. They learned about air and water temperature, how to test water samples, look at plankton through microscopes, and identify bird and marine species. All around, a great experience for us all. We love they all are a family business and we love supporting them
I highly recommend this outstanding, educational and fun tour by trained professionals. We have cruised with FWW almost every year for a decade and this is still our favorite tour in St. Augustine! The crew is absolutely amazing and knowledgeable of local wildlife, history, waterways and marine biology. The tours are geared to various age groups with appropriate terminology and educational value tailored to each group. We almost always have seen several dolphins, native birds, learned the importance of our local estuary, with hands-on learning opportunities. Students have the opportunity to use on board equipment to test water clarity, salinity, pH, and see plankton on the onboard microscopes. Binoculars for viewing downtown, local wildlife and other sites are offered, along with a wildlife scavenger hunt. Students will not be bored, and chaperones learn about our unique area, too. The host is stable, large enough and offers shade for sunny days. The crew are highly professional and navigate these waters regularly. We always felts safe and even my most queasy son, had no issues with the careful maneuvering by the Captain Mike and Captain Kevin. We are going again this year and would recommend for all ages and experience level, whether locals or visitors.
Awesome experience! My family and I went on twice. A wine tour and the Florida water warriors for the kiddos. Loved both times. You get to see all sorts of wild life while on the boat. If you spot something say it out loud. They will stop so you can enjoy them. Bring sunscreen and sunglasses because you will obviously be out in the sun. The wine tasting was lovely. My husband and I got to taste I think 3 or 4 different wines and got a charcuterie cone towards the end of the tasting. They also sell beer and wine if you are feeling something else. For the water warriors, this was an educational tour for the kids. They educated them on the different birds, bird island, what an estuary is and much more. They got the to see what plankton looks like, even under a microscope! I want to do other tours like the reggae and sunset one. We will be back!
We brought our camp for an educational boat ride with Marine Warriors, and it was an incredible experience! The staff was exceptionally patient, kind, and engaging with our campers. They shared fascinating information about marine life and the local ecosystem while keeping the children entertained and involved throughout the trip. It was the perfect combination of education and fun. Our campers had an amazing time, and we can't wait to come back. Highly recommend Marine Warriors for schools, camps, and families!
Kristie and Capt Kevin are great educators! I’ve taken my high school marine classes on a tour of the GTM for 3 years in a row. My students always learn so much!!
