Florida Cracker | Oyster Bar & Grill

We had an amazing time!! The food was phenomenal, some of the best oysters I’ve had in a very long time. We had the bacon, garlic and Parmesan oysters, fried pickles, fried gator tail, steamed shrimp, some chicken wings and everything was delicious. It was all hot and fresh and you could tell it was all home made. Not just frozen stuff. Even the cole slaw was good!! The service was great too. We never had an empty drink or asked for something and didn’t get it right away. The atmosphere here is awesome 👏🏼. It’s very relaxed and casual. There is a putt putt golf course literally across the parking lot that looked like a lot of fun. We just came too late on a Sunday to play after we ate. They close at 7 on Sundays, the restaurant is open till 8 though on Sundays. There is also a really cute playground for the little kids. There’s three different wooden things to climb on and have slides. There’s a boat, a tractor and a big truck. We had so much fun, and will definitely be back very soon!!

Cute place in a rural Florida town. The margaritas were top notch and came in a cup you could take home. The next best item was the shrimp with the Cajun butter. I highly recommend it! The fried pickles were delightful. They were done in a corn batter, which was a good texture. Blood Mary and bacon Parmesan steamed oysters were solid, but I think next time I will try raw, as this is typically my preference. You order at the counter and the environment feels very rural American casual, but the prices are pretty high for the location and casual environment. I recommend you go, but be prepared to spend more than a typical rural Florida restaurant.

Cute place, great service, and great specials! The staff was so friendly to us "out of towners" and let us know the fun things to do in the area and all the things they had going on as far as live music and karaoke while we are in town! We came at a random time after a round of mini golf right next door, but enjoyed oysters and drinks in the cozy space. They even have a free mini library on the porch! Big playground for small kids.

Great new spot I found. On weekdays they have dollar oysters and wings and 2 dollar beers. I had the raw oysters and they are very fresh, nice size and come with crackers, lemons, horseradish and Bob’s sauce which I loved. They also have charbroiled oysters which I’ve never tried but since I was already full and minimum order is 6 which is reasonable I opted out but Amber my waitress and manager had the chef bring me one to try for free and I’ll be getting them charbroiled or half and half from now on. Plenty of parking a really cool mini golf course on location, kids menu and outside seating. I’ll definitely be back many times to try the rest of the menu. So go try out Florida Crackers the Original Floridian you won’t be sorry.
