If want help with your Florida Blue insurance, stop here, much better than calling, which often connects you overseas. The insurance agent was great and we were able to get the answers to our questions plus correct a major error on the form that was done though a phone call.

I had a very disappointing experience at the Florida Blue Town Center location. Before scheduling my appointment, I called Florida Blue specifically to ask whether, as an international student, I would be eligible to purchase health insurance. The representative on the phone clearly told me that I could, so I scheduled an appointment. I arrived on time, but as soon as the representative asked for my Social Security number and I explained that I am an international student and therefore do not have one, I was immediately told that I could not enroll. What I don’t understand is why I was told over the phone that I was eligible if that was not actually the case. This wasted my time and could have been avoided with accurate information. What made the experience even worse was the way I was treated by the manager. She was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, making me feel as though I had done something wrong simply for asking questions and trying to understand my options. As a potential customer, I expected to be treated with courtesy and respect. The interaction left me feeling uncomfortable, and I couldn’t help but feel that I was being treated differently because I am an immigrant. Whether or not that was the intention, that is how the experience made me feel. Good customer service starts with respect and accurate information. Unfortunately, I experienced neither. Because of this experience, I would not recommend Florida Blue to others.
