Five Star Home Care may have literally saved my father's life. When his long-term in-home health care provider unexpectedly wound up in the hospital with no notice, I contacted Ms. Melonie in the late afternoon and she had a home health care provider in my father's home within 4 hours. Five Star continued to monitor our situation and maintained in-home care services on an as-needed basis for over a week, until our permanent caretaker was able to return. Melonie provided peace of mind and excellent care for my father that was crucial in our time of need. She was caring and provided excellent communication and always put my father's best interests high above any of her own personal, business, or economic decisions. I owe her a huge debt or gratitude and unequivocally give her my highest recommendation.

The staff at 5 Star Medical Home Health have been absolutely amazing and incredibly efficient! My Medicaid started on October 1st, and my Humana coordinator told me on Friday how many hours I’d been awarded. The internal office at 5 Star had someone at my home that very same day — talk about fast service! I also have to brag on the wonderful person they sent out, my home health helper, Cyllie. She represents her company so professionally — well-mannered, easy to talk to, and one of the hardest workers I’ve met. Thank you, 5 Star Medical Home Health, for your outstanding care and quick response!
I told the SCI group that I would keep everyone updated on my experience with 5 star in Jacksonville! Just want to report this group has always made their self available no matter what time of day or day end of the week. I’ve really been shown Tom and Tom again they put their patient’s needs first. Which is one of their strongest traits. I have to also brag on the management and their ability to always have someone available, even-without planned and in emergency cases. Anytime I’ve needed anything from 5star they have still been fantastic and I highly recommend them to anyone in the group that is not happy with their current Healthcare Aid provider.
Miss Melanie is a very nice lady but business wise there is a serious lack of proper communication which has adversely affected my home, but I do believe she’s caring and kind so I did put a three star, but we cannot handle the lack of communication. I expected my age yesterday just to have to find out from my age that she wasn’t even employed anymore. It’s the second time I didn’t get a heads up And I’m autistic and literally express. I need to know these things obviously especially the day of when my Aid supposed to come So I’m not really sure I’m just putting my experience Miss Melanie herself has always been kind when talking to me and does seem to care but the communication issues at least with us.
