First Coast Dental Center

BEWARE: I scheduled a routine appointment with this office in February of this year. I was taken back almost immediately and had X-rays taken, then I was put into another room where I sat for an hour. The hygienist came in and flat out said “oh, you’re still here, I completely forgot”. I waited it out and hoped the dentist would come in soon. After three hours I finally said I couldn’t wait any longer. The office manager apologized and said she would check me out. She said I had fillings treatment planned, but I asked how when I never saw a dentist??? No answer from staff. Dr. Strout (?) ran out to the waiting area, shook my hand and apologized that he was in surgery and said I could reschedule for a treatment plan. I cancelled all follow up appointments with this office, and now they are harassing me for a $200 office visit bill. I spoke with Susan and she was incredibly rude, and kept cutting me off and saying my financial obligation is not her problem. I’m reaching out to my insurance to have them dispute this because considering a handshake and apology from a dentist a “$200 office visit” is wild.

Alicia is the best dental hygienist I have ever experienced! She answered all my silly questions and helped me better understand certain nuances. Would highly recommend her to anyone! Can’t wait to see her again for my next cleaning!

Love the hygienists, they do a great job and wish them the best. The front office and management have destroyed this once well run practice. During Dr Joel David, it was a professional practice focused on patients. Now, it’s all about extracting more money from patients. One cleaning fee just went from $178 to $295. No explanation, no new services, just more money. Feels more like walking into a used car dealership. Stay away.
