I arrived for my annual exam and was told Dr. Pennant no longer accepts insurance. I was very surprised and was told emails were sent out in February. I never received an email and read reviews from others who did not receive an email as well. I told the office manager I felt I shouldn't be charged a $50 cancellation fee because I never received their email and I also spent $3, 800 for services in the past. She reiterated emails were sent and proceeded to charge me without even conferring with the doctor! BTW vaginal rejuvenation cost $3,000 and didn't even work.

Do not use their new concierge services. I saw someone post a positive review about them and that they now offered concierge services for self pay. Now I wonder if it wasn't an employee or friend who wrote the comment. I had an issue I wanted a referral for and paid the $350 for an appointment. I told them I didn't want a pap but the woman who gave me a gown said it was included and I might as well do it. The doctor recommended an ultrasound to check for fibroids and I asked for a receipt for my appointment. The person at the front desk told me she could not help with either until the end of the day. When I didn't receive information for where to go for an US or a receipt, I messaged through the portal and left messages. On my third call I finally got a call back because I left a scathing message that I now had an email from Quest Diagnostics wanting $1184. The woman on the phone told me that was impossible and that Quest had not even generated a bill. I now have 2 bills from Quest for $1184 and $446. I never received an initial receipt or information for where to go for an ultrasound. If they take your insurance, maybe you will have a good experience. But if you choose their self pay option to get a referral, you will be in for a rude awakening.

The doctor is nice, but Im not sure knowledgeable enough about perimenopause and menopause. I was with the practice for over a year, and I was thrown on an estrogen in which the doctor didn’t give me direction on which type of estrogen to go with. She left it up to me to decide on type and when I asked the differences in the formats, she said whatever one you wanna do. Not helpful at all. Since switching to another practice and truly going to a qualified hormone specialist, I realize is, she never did my labs at the correct time of my cycle. She just had me do labs first thing in the morning. She was not specific on the day of the cycle and coordination with ovulation. In addition, she just threw me on estrogen that never really improved my symptoms. The other doctor I went to said I’m on the complete wrong regimen for my symptoms it could be causing more issues especially given it was prescribed without proper labs. Just be careful because now she’s private pay and you’re paying through the nose and may not be getting the best care. I think this practice is more focused on selling you anti-skin care aging products and services.

The in office experience was wonderful. The office is clean and bright. Staff is friendly. The only issue I see is that the phone skills seem to be lacking. Every time I call, the person who answers is not friendly. And not extremely helpful. I understand everyone can have a bad day, but this seems to be every time I call. I feel like I'm bothering them. This is not the same experience once you are in the office. everyone is friendly. Just on the phone. Doctor was wonderful. Easy to express my issues too.
