Worst experience I've ever had. To start off, I was unaware that the person doing my procedure would be Dr. Acholonu. After an hour wait, he said nothing regarding his tardiness. He paid no mind to making me feel comfortable throughout the procedure nor did he provide me any information unless I specifically asked him the question that would lead to it. It took him FOUR tries to complete the main task of the procedure which was increasingly more painful after each failed attempt - which again, was following by no apology. At the appointment I was to receive the results from the procedure (which I was extremely nervous for), he walked into the patient’s room 2 HOURS AND 15 MINUTES LATE with, again, no apology to offer, told me that my results came back normal and that I should come back in 6 months. When I explained to him that this $45.00, 2hr. 15min. visit could have been a simple phone call especially since it was going to be good news, he grew defensive and with zero empathy. Additionally, he put false information about my birth control on my chart which I found out later on Follow My Health’s website. To top it off, I had been given parking passes for all prior appointments I attended in the same office. This last visit, they told me that the passes were only for women expecting - which I was not during any of my visits. After I explained to them two or three times that was never the case before, they gave me a pass. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Not only with a doctor but with any company in general. I only write reviews if I have an overly exceptional experience or the complete opposite. DO NOT GO TO HIM OR THIS PRACTICE. I wouldn’t have taken the time to write this if my experience wasn’t this awful. I understand it is difficult to find the right doctor but please take my word on Dr. Acholonu and this practice. I truly hope no one has to go through what I did.

I was searching for a good OBGYN after a receiving sub par service from Dr Rowan’s office. I searched online and found this Office and made an appointment. At first glance the office needs a little upgrade but I’m so happy I didn’t let they deter me. It was about and hour wait, I’m used to longer at Gynecologist offices. Dr Acholonu came in after the nurse and I was pleasantly surprised, at times it’s a bit uncomfortable dealing with a male OB, he has one of the best bed side manners I’ve seen in a Dr in years. He did my exam which included an ultrasound and explained everything that I was seeing on the screen. I’ve never had this done before from an OBGYN. The staff was great also all the nurse and front desk attendants was really helpful and very pleasant. Overall I feel very comfortable with his diagnose and happy to give a raving review. If you’re looking I would highly recommend this Dr.

I love Dr. Acholonu. I have been a patient of his for over 20 years. The wait periods are long but he is a gynecologist, fertility specialist and a surgeon so yes the wait time can be long. He has always been very nice and honest with me. When I had endometrial cancer he took care of me after sending me to a oncologist to have a hysterectomy Dr. Acholonu took care of me through the physical and mental part of cancer. He really is wonderful. Just be forewarned about the wait time.

I've been using this doctor since 2010. I've always been treated fairly and with the utmost respect. The staff is very friendly and attentive to all my needs. I would give a five but it seems the wait is longer than before. But it is to be understood. Dr. Acholonu is very popular and well liked in the community. Good team of medicial professionals.
