On 8/23/22 I made an appointment with my Grandma's doctor, Dr. Malik. I explained to Dr. Malik that my Grandma's daughter was intentionally neglecting her and when I or my Grandma would call authorities her daughter would tell authorities my Grandma's complaints were invalid because she had dementia. Instead of helping my Grandma, Dr. Malik and her office manager did not believe me but actually noted in my medical record that I displayed inappropriate behavior. Later, it was revealed that my Grandma suspiciously broke her hip, her daughter allowed my grandma to go 17 months without physical therapy after her hip surgery all while refusing me access to her. My Grandma was an amber alert fleeing away from her abuser. This doctor appeared to initially believe me. Very unfortunate experience. Doctors should be trauma-informed and should believe when people report abuse.
I always have a very pleasant experience with Dr. Malik. She spends quality discussing and explaining my care plan.
Dr Farah took the time to really listen and was a great doctor and front staff Milad was really helpful! Great office!
