I opened an account with this bank on July 1st. Today I received a call informing me that my account will be closed, with no advance notice. When I asked for an explanation, I was told the reason was "private" and could not be disclosed to me. This is unacceptable. I provided my Social Security number, home address, and other sensitive personal information to open this account. As the accountholder, I am entitled to know why it is being closed. Withholding that information while having collected mine in full is a double standard I do not accept. This follows a broader pattern of poor service. EverBank's login system is unreliable: I've had to reset my password multiple times a day just to access my account, and the biometric login routinely fails and locks me out. Between the unexplained account closure and the ongoing login issues, this has been an entirely negative experience. I cannot recommend this bank to anyone outside of Florida, where service may be more reliable.
To the Executive Team of EverBank, On March 15, 2026, I applied online for a joint High Performance Savings account with my wife and was immediately denied without any explanation. After contacting Customer Service on March 16, I was informed that no reason could be provided and was advised to reapply. I followed that guidance, only to receive the same unexplained denial a second time. This experience has been extremely frustrating and deeply disappointing. I find it unacceptable and frankly offensive to be denied without any explanation or opportunity to verify our identity—something that has never occurred with any other financial institution we have worked with. "I would appreciate a clear explanation and a prompt review of your application process." Sincerely, Sergio Abundis
I submitted a wire transfer this morning for funds that needed to go out and be delivered today, for which Everbank charges $25. After submitting the request, I assumed the matter was over. In the process of submitting the request I had to verify my identity by different methods 4 different times. There was no notice of any further review or hold up on the transfer after it was submitted. Several hours later Everbank called me and asked all kinds of personal questions that are none of their business. I verified my identity again by 3+ different methods and verbally confirmed all of the details of the wire transfer. I confirmed that the recipient is legitimate and who I wanted the funds to go to and there are more than sufficient funds in the account. Everbank refuses to make the wire transfer and they refuse to give me any reasons for why they will not let me access and send my own money. They also refused to let me speak to anyone at Everbank who will explain why they are not making the transfer and what it would take to get them to do it. The bottom line is that they are preventing me from accessing my own money in my own account, even after a large number of security checks and live assurances and confirmations on the phone. I will definitely be moving my account away from them, despite having had an account there for more than 2 decades.
I have an open claim with this bank concerning a wire transfer. My bank’s fraud department has been trying to contact them and they have not responded for MONTHS. They are holding my money hostage. Now going on 5 months. Impossible to find a real person there to talk to. Awful.
Wasted days on the phone with customer service just in attempt to set up a working account. Then made the mistake of transferring several grand after being told the issues would be resolved. Then NO JOKE, was told I am "suspicious" after calling yet again about ANOTHER issue. The woman told me I could not have an account with their bank. WHAT... now with my money in their hands I have to wait in hopes to get it back via mail.
