My daughter and I had a quick dinner here. For the two of us to eat drinks, an appetizer and two sandwiches we spent right about $50. I had a classic Reuben and it was great, she had sliders which were also very good. Good. We ordered the pretzels as an appetizer and we got the beer cheese soup which also came with the pretzel, so that gave us four pretzels and a bowl of beer cheese soup to dip it in. They also have three different mustards. A regular mustard, a switzy brown mustard and then one that is more like a jalapeno mustard. They have a very large selection of beer here. They have a lot of German beers which is pretty cool as well as Scottish and other European beers. Great little place to eat. I highly recommend.

I wanted to show you the pic of my sausage egg and cheese croissant. Once I started…. Well you get the picture. Excellent!! The guy kept the coffee flowing and it wasn’t real busy either. They don’t have a big breakfast menu. But why, once you have perfection. Just leave it alone. I highly recommend. Oh yeah, he hooked me up with a coffee to go. Yes!!
Visiting Jacksonville Florida from Boones Mill Virginia and my wonderful Niece told about this place. So glad she did. We had a great lunch and got a yummy dessert to go.
My wife and I have lived in Jacksonville for four years and somehow never tried European Street Cafe until now. We honestly can’t believe what we’ve been missing. From the moment we walked in, the place felt warm and welcoming. It has that authentic European charm you rarely find, cozy and full of life but still relaxed. The staff were incredible — friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. You can tell they take pride in what they do and care about every guest who walks through the door. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had the sausage platter, and it was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. My wife had the Reuben, and she said it was one of the best she’s ever had. Everything tasted fresh and made with real attention to detail. European Street Cafe has clearly been part of Jacksonville’s story for years, and it shows in all the best ways. It’s a place with history, personality, and heart. Whether you’re after authentic European comfort food, a great beer selection, or just a relaxed meal with wonderful service, this is the spot. Highly recommended. Easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Jacksonville.
I have been going to European Street for years when I visit Jacksonville since I am not local. I am in town for a conference and went to this location this evening. The menu online looked exactly the same so I was not anticipating any differences. The guy taking the order already was not hospitable at all. So I ordered my gluten-free sandwich and got back to my hotel and noticed that they changed the bread. I called to express my disappointment and all the manager had to say was “Sorry to hear that” And literally that was it. Sandwich definitely does not reflect being $18 and I’m highly disappointed in the bread change.
