This makes 3 of the 4 European Street Cafe's that I've been to. They don't seem to know how to disappoint. Every time I come through: Taste, Options, Ambiance, Service, Satisfying - whether you like it or not. It's just a great safety net when you had a string of bad outings. This is the spot that brings back your hope in restaurants. They have you covered. Desserts, drinks, snacks, food, a place to meet up with others and catch up. Their outside sitting/ dining area is a wonderful view. I love this place. Their artichoke with bread and chips - yes. Be careful, I ate too much of this goodness and encroached on stomach space for my meal. The Princess Anna with cold slaw was really good. The combination just worked
Great sandwiches. The California Reuben is unique and a refreshing cold sandwich for a hot day. The tabouli pita is also very tasty. The chips that come as a side are great. I also like the little candy general store at the register with huge cookies and baked treats available there too. Huge menu to try new things every time.
First time here and the store was about to close with 15mins left for the kitchen and they still treated me with such kindness. Jenna at the counter was very patient and informative about the store, menu, and the desserts as well! I can't wait for you guys to also be at the Riverfront Plaza café downtown and hope Jenna is there as well because she is very helpful. Plus I can't forget the food was amazing!! I got a BLT wrap and the best one I have ever had yet! Can't wait to come back and try more item's on the menu.
Very very nice place. Athmosphere is great, very Oak-Parkish (Chicago) mixed with some Lincoln Park -ish vibe. Superb waiter and wait staff. Delicious food. Perfect.
First visit: I got the French dip which I thought was like a 8.5/10. I also got soft pretzels with their beer cheese soup & honestly, I’d go without it next time, I wasn’t impressed. Peanut butter pie is a smaller piece but it’s pretty good! Second visit: I got the California Ruben and thought it was good! It had a very small amount of coleslaw though so I wish there was more of that.
