Had my 6L80 transmission rebuilt here about a month ago after it failed at 102k miles on my Silverado 1500. After comparing a few shops, Epic Powertrain stood out—better pricing than most and the quality shows. They were upfront with a clear, transparent cost breakdown and no pressure. They also upgraded key components and back their work with an 18-month / 18,000-mile warranty, which gave me a lot of confidence. Since getting it back, the truck drives noticeably stronger than before—smoother shifts, more consistent power, and overall feels tighter than stock. You can tell this is a shop with real experience and a family-run feel. Highly recommend. I’ll definitely be sending friends and family their way.
I found Epic Powertrain on Facebook, they were the only shop that answered the phone with confidence about rebuilding my 10R80. I dropped my truck off and Sam did a fantastic job getting it quoted, fixed and turned around. Absolutely incredible experience and VERY reasonably priced. The communication was as amazing the entire time. Extremely happy, thanks y'all!
Sam is the best! Being a single woman, a lot of shops were quoting me prices off the charts. Talking to Sam I found comfort and felt secure in my choices. Spent close to $8000 trying to diagnose a problem in my GMC canyon. From Michigan all the way to Florida this was the first shop that got it right. Sam has worked with me setting up repairs and making me feel totally secure in my safety upon departure. Can’t even write everything I’ve been through with this pick up. Since finding Epic, I no longer spend 99% of my time in the shop anymore. Small business with family values. Highly recommend.
Great family run small business… Epic Powertrain is the last of a dying breed! Very detail oriented, great communication and desire to meet expectations. They kept me in the loop durning the entire process, rebuilt the transmission like new, shifts great…. Thanks for everything!
EPIC POWERTRAIN is THE transmission shop to go to for your 6L80 tranny build. Gave my 2018 Silverado to them on a Monday and got it back that Friday. Upgraded the torque converter, stage 1 shift kit upgraded valves and other essentials. Super happy I don’t have to worry about it anymore. Customer service is off the charts. Knowledge is off the charts. Truck came back cleaner than what I gave them. Superb. EPIC POWERTRAIN gets my recommendation to anybody and everybody. Thanks so much!!!!
