Took my money and price gouging. Very condescending and want show decorations till the day of the event. I have read your post and u are lying. And I told you three weeks in advance to canceled this booking. All that you are saying you are lying I just paid 5000 dollars for a beautiful deal. I don't want nothing for free anybody that know me I pay for what I want. I only ask you to give me back half my money and keep the deposit which was 50.00. $650 was what I paid total was 1900.00. I never have a problem paying anyone and never look for a hand out. Stop trying to make me look bad and I am always going to be bless because I don't do people wrong nor take someone hard earn money. You said you could not show me a centerpiece nor could I come up there and see an event you so said to be doing. I have road by your business several times you said yall where settting up an event as we spoke. You lied. You have not one car up the. I asked you the week before there to cancel and you asked why and what happen after we talk you we did agree to letting you do it however you never said you were free styling anything I asked for a princess and the frog theme and you told me I was getting solid colors for 1900. And chicken string beans and white rice. Something I could have made. N u said nothing about a cake u specified you were doing a very small treat table which I have the document to prove. You are not a honest business women at all and you know that why you throwing God in this. Saying be blessed. More pictures will be add. Soon then later. At the bottom is the venue I went to very professional event celebration is the name. I will recommend this place to anybody and huge and great parking not 20 car parking at a maximize for elite celebration and 100 people can fit in the building. Please read all reviews.
Ms. April did an amazing job with the decorations for my baby shower. Everything turned out perfectly and was exactly how I envisioned it. The whole event was lovely and well-executed, making the day even more special.
April was mostly pleasant, but so tone deaf to my needs, like she wasn’t even listening. Then instead of negotiating like a professional, her method is to ghost you. I don’t think she knows what she’s doing. I contacted her looking for a venue for my homeschool prom. I had a bunch of questions for her based on her ads on Facebook, particularly about extras like her food offerings, music/DJ, photoshoots. Instead of giving me more details (such as who the pro is, what their setup is, what’s included with it, flavors or amounts of items, etc.), she would just craft a new promo ad and share that with me. I didn’t need a custom ad, I needed information. Still, I went ahead and scheduled a tour. I saw the place, I shook her hand, she remained cordial. The kitchen area was blocked off which seemed weird since we’d need to see that. Anyway, we discussed my situation and she knew this was coming entirely out of my own pocket for my small group of about 50-60 high schoolers I represent. I expect to make no profit. I was just doing it for the kids and taking a personal loss for it, so I was budget-conscious, and trying to see how far I could stretch my dollar. She was aware of this when we said goodbye. After I went home, I made a proposal for her. The document offered her $1100 cash for a Saturday in April in her larger party room, and listed several things I was requesting. I made this offer after scouring all her ads and promotions and making a comparable offer to things she had already offered before at that same price point. My thought was if I had asked for too much, she could counter-offer and I’d be open to that. I presented it to her and after waiting a while she told me she would have her own proposal for me in an hour. Instead of that happening, several hours later she shares with me… another new promo ad (this time geared towards a prom). The ad asked for twice what I offered, it was for 20 fewer children than I needed, it offered bonuses I did not ask for, and left out the things I showed interest in. It was so out of line with the needs I expressed to her, I wondered if she let AI write and design it. Frustrated that she doesn’t listen, I simply told her it was out of my budget and thanked her for her time. Instead of attempting to negotiate or produce a better offer, she responded “take care”, and blocked me. It’s so weird to conduct business this way, when I had $1100 in hand ready to offer her and she walked away without sealing the deal. If the business tanks, it’s because she doesn’t listen to what the client wants, can’t answer basic questions, and blocks whomever doesn’t book. (If she were to come around and say that Elite has been around for a long time and is doing just fine without my money, I would say: then why was someone looking to sell the establishment as recently as last year? And if you’re too good for this money, why are your promos frequently in the price range I offered you?) So of course you don’t have to take my offer or even counter it, but why wouldn’t you try? Easy money. Any professional could have handled this deal and banked. I had the money, why walk? Well, you know what they say -- money talks and bs walks. Hole-in-the-wall event businesses at this price range with and without decor are a dime a dozen in Jacksonville, trust me. I’ve talked to all of them. Most of them fail within the first few years -- I looked into them. The only thing that will set you apart in this city is your professionalism in dealing with the customer. I was hers on a silver platter, a guaranteed success, and she fumbled the deal. If her promo ads are within your price range, I would suggest you take that same money and pick any of the other establishments available where the person managing it knows how to communicate and listen to you. Your dollars don’t just buy you an event experience, they should buy you being *heard*. Don’t pay to be ignored. She could have earned our loyalty and been a go-to place for more than 50 local homeschool families and our milestones.
This was a beautiful venue to host my mother big 75th birthday. The package deal I got was more than what I could have expected! Ms. April and her team decorated the place so nicely, my mom was overjoyed when she stepped into her surprise party 🤗. I would recommend this venue for your next party.
