I cannot say enough good things about Hayne Steen and his team. I have consulted with them, seen them in action, and know Hayne personally. He is an exceptional leader who knows how to train his team and create a culture where healing and deep personal work can coexist. His team’s dedication to excellence is at the top of the field. If I needed a therapist, I would go to Hayne or someone on his team. It is rare to find a counseling center that values genuine transformation, provides therapists who truly listen, and brings a deeper existential and spiritual framework into the work. I highly recommend Hayne and his team. They are truly par excellence.
I had a horrible therapy session with Shanti Hollis through Elbow Tree at the Gran Bay Pkwy office.I left feeling dejected. I went into the session feeling hopeful and optimistic until she tells me that she can't "in good faith" offer EMDR therapy to me because of a family member I live with may interfere with the progress. Should I have to wait until either my family member dies or wait until I had the means and opportunity to move away. Also after telling her about a trauma and betrayal I experienced she responds with "If it was a betrayal..." If? What therapeutic benefit is there to doubt my life experiences? Don't waste your time or risk being belittled, judged, and dismissed. As a clinician, I've never delayed treatment or interventions for an adult or pediatric patient due to their socioeconomic status or their interpersonal relationships.
I've found Elbow Tree and their staff incredibly helpful during some big life transitions. They are very professional, friendly, caring, and I always feel at home in their offices. I'm thankful for the safe space they've provided for me to process my thoughts and emotions.
my wife and I got premarital counseling here. it was very meaningful and definitely worth the time and cost. Hayne was awesome!
