Dune House Hotel & Spa

I stayed here over the weekend while celebrating my wedding reception nearby and I was really disappointed. The hot water system broke, and I understand that things happen, but to not be able to take a hot shower for two days and have the hotel do absolutely nothing for the guests is insane. This is not a cheap motel. You should be discounting stays, offering breakfast, SOMETHING. Second, I was reviewing the list of amenities that they charge an additional $40/night for, and none of the things were explained or offered to us upon check in. If you're going to advertise things like welcome drinks, then provide them. Last, I booked an ocean room with a balcony, but they allow people to party during all hours of the night in the lobby area and outside near the pool. I woke up to drunk people screaming at nearly 4am. Why is no one enforcing quiet hours? The check in person was right there watching it happen while they disturbed other guests. Again, really disappointing for the money I spent and the relaxation I was looking for was simply not there. The one highlight was the valet team who was friendly and did a great job.

This place has some construction going on, but the rooms are finished and it's cute as hell. Whoever picked out the decor did a fantastic job. I love the blend of mid century modern with natural materials. So far we've enjoyed the pool (clean, well maintained), the pool bar, and the amazing seafood restaurant (Coastal Farmer). The people working here have been really kind and attentive. We can't wait to come back to check out the spa when it is finished.

and would definitely recommend it! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. The valet team was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the front desk staff were just as kind and professional throughout our stay. We stayed in the Camino Suite, which was absolutely beautiful. The room was spotless, modern, comfortable, and very aesthetically designed. It had a warm, welcoming feel, and the ocean view was stunning—we loved waking up and looking out over the beach each morning. The hotel itself was also very clean and even had that fresh, pleasant hotel scent that makes you feel at home. During our visit, the hotel was still undergoing renovations, so a few amenities weren’t open yet, and there was some construction taking place. However, the staff did a great job minimizing any inconvenience, and it didn’t take away from our overall experience. The only other small downside was that the balcony doors were extremely heavy to open. They felt almost like a vault door and took quite a bit of effort to slide open. Other than that, we had a fantastic stay. Between the outstanding staff, beautiful room, cleanliness, and incredible ocean views, we had a great experience and would happily stay here again

What a beautiful bar!! We were so excited to see the new bar & restaurant after the renovations and they did not disappoint! Adrianna provided us excellent service and is an absolute gem! She took the time to walk us through their new craft cocktail menu. We enjoyed the High Tai’d and Butter Pecan Old Fashioned. Both were lovely! We can’t wait to go back and explore more drinks & food!
