Dr. Olga P. Pena-Ariet, MD

It's impressive how they can avoid answering the phone during their business hours. Dr. Pena-Ariet seems to forget my daughter is on the spectrum with each appointment. We've been seeing him for over a year and he tries to give me the autism talk at every single appointment. Like he just totally forgets the speech/ occupational therapy, early intervention, and developmental neurologist referrals he's given us? I don't get it. He's seen my duaghter at least 20 times and hasn't bothered to get to know her just a little bit. He also doesn't have much patience and can be a little rough. I don't know what's the point of having business hours if they're only going to use an "urgent" answering service. We're getting over charged a lot too- I'm forever disputing it with my insurance.

I did end up finding a new doctor. He seems a little overbooked. He didn't take the time to get to know my shy two year old and she was terrified of him. It got to the point where she was crying and screaming from the second we walked into the office. He speaks VERY quickly and with two kids it was difficult to keep up with all of the instructions. It also kind of rubbed me the wrong way that I saw him several times a week for a full month and it took him three weeks to remember I had two kids.

The front desk staff is very unfriendly and unwelcoming, and the waiting room was so dirty, we were grossed out.

DISORGANIZED medical Office Front Desk management, I'm glad I was able to experience it before registering my daughter as a new patient. If they can't even get an appointment right, how can they help my sick child? I went to Jacksonville Pediatric Associates instead, they are AWESOME!
