Dr. Kunal Thakkar, MD

My son was suffering very bad with his trach that was opened, but once we got to the doctor, he immediately fixed it within 20 minutes after suffering for two months trying to find the right doctor. We were lucky enough to get this doctor. The staff is wonderful and the doctor is equally wonderful. The best ear nose and throat doctor thank you so much again and God bless

I am new to the Jacksonville area and over the weekend encountered bleeding in my right ear. I immediately went to an urgent care facility and upon inspection, was told that there was too much blood in the ear canal and I needed to see an ENT specialist. First thing on Monday I contacted Dr. Thakkar's office. The receptionist staff were very cordial as I explained my problem and said that they could fit me in that morning. Upon ariving the staff took down all the information they needed and after a short wait I met with Dr. Thakkar. He said that there was a large blood clot that needed to be removed to see if there was any damage to the eardrum. He cleaned the canal area, then showed me what he had removed, and said there was no damage to the eardrum. He then went on to check the other ear, my nose, and throat to see if I had any other problems, saying everything else was OK. Upon leaving the receptionist staff asked how I was feeling and we exchanged pleasantries. I now have an ENT specialist for myself and can whole heartedly recommend when asked of my experience with Dr. Thakkar, and the staff.

I don’t suggest you go to Dr Thakker for ear issues. He mis-diagnosed me for a middle ear problem when I learned from another ENT that I had inner ear hearing loss. I saw him twice, didn’t diagnose me within a treatable time period, therefore I now have permanent hearing loss. Had he correctly diagnosed me on the first visit, I wouldn’t have lost my hearing. He also charges more than better ENT’s, so there is no value to his poor diagnostic abilities

I saw Dr. Thakkar for my first appt this past Tuesday. First off, the office staff , and Dr. Thakkar were so nice, and down to earth. Dr. Thakkar knew exactly what to look for, and what to do. Everything about my experience was top notch.
