Front desk is not happy to assist hispanic customer. She walked after me to see if I already left. And was standing by the door looking out. Also the guy who seats behind front desk got involved also rude and antipathy. Discriminate and rude 100%.
We moved to Entrada in April 2025 and after a year living here in St. Augustine, we are very happy not only with the city, but also the whole experience with DR Horton. House is beautiful, with only minor details that Rocky and the warranty team fixed promptly. Even my parents want to do business with DR Horton now! Thank you DR. We are happy to be part of the family.
My experience leading up to the closing was satisfactory, though it appears that this was merely superficial. Despite acquiring a new property, my agent recommended a home inspection, which I initially viewed as an unnecessary expense, as I anticipated discovering any issues independently. The closing date was September 26, 2025. Prior to this, I requested information regarding the Homeowners Association (HOA), but I did not receive accurate details or the complete set of Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines. I now understand that, by law, these documents should be provided prior to the contract's execution.I specifically communicated with both the salesperson and my agent regarding my apprehension about the waterfront due to concerns about alligators, and my consistent desire to fence the property., I was not made aware that the Homeowner's Association (HOA) restricts fencing to a maximum height of four feet and limits options to a single approved style. The extensive nature of the HOA's restrictions, had they been disclosed, would have significantly impacted my decision to purchase the property. Furthermore, my inquiry regarding the undeveloped lot across from my property was met with misinformation; the agent explicitly stated it would become a dog park. Approximately one month after closing, construction began on eight additional residences on that lot. Had accurate information been provided, I would not have proceeded with the purchase, as this development has proven to be highly problematic. It is quite challenging to manage such a significant amount of disruption, noise, and refuse. I am also pursuing DR Horton for several outstanding repair issues, including uneven and chipped tiles, as well as missing grout. Additionally, the refrigerator, washer, and dryer, which were listed in my purchase documents with a corresponding price, were not included. These appliances, when acquired, proved to be of substandard quality and are not functioning as expected. The stainless steel refrigerator, in particular, exhibits persistent staining and what appears to be rust, despite my consistent efforts to clean it with recommended products. It appears that the trees and plants are quite dry, seemingly due to insufficient watering. The disappointment and frustration has significantly affected my well-being and I have even considered to relocate. I would not recommend this building company.
We bought a new Express Home through this company and have had a excellent experience. We signed on vacation and they worked with us being back in Illinois through all the signing and documents needing submitted. We love our home, we feel secure in it, and we recommend them to anyone looking for a new home.
If I could leave zero stars I would. The amount of problems I’ve had are unreal. Martin is a liar who try’s to hide your problems with your home then not tell you about the terrible work he’s doing to do behind your back to fix it. Scott had been helpful until we mentioned an attorney now nothing we have they want todo. These people are liars always trying to scam the homeowners. They completely messed up the entire plumbing in my home along with numerous other issues. Then they claim they are out of warranty even though they just fixed those things. Shouldn’t it come with a year warranty on their work? Terrible experience.
