Dr. Hazem Samy

I waited FOUR MONTHS for this appointment, only to sit in the office for approximately THREE HOURS before finally being seen for perhaps five minutes. Not once did the doctor apologize for the excessive wait or acknowledge how long I had been sitting there. When he finally entered the room, he did not introduce himself. His demeanor was rude, curt, dismissive, and completely disrespectful. I have never felt so uncomfortable and disregarded during a medical appointment. To make matters worse, I was told that I had been referred to this doctor because of swelling of the optic nerve. I was extremely concerned, of course, because that is a serious issue. I later learned that this information was completely inaccurate and that the doctor’s technician had apparently transcribed incorrect information into my chart. So I waited four months, sat for three hours, and was treated so poorly—all based on an incorrect reason for my referral. There was absolutely no compassion, professionalism, or respect for my time. A three-hour wait with no apology, followed by a rushed five-minute visit with a doctor who was rude and dismissive, is simply unacceptable. My advice: DO NOT waste your time waiting months to see this doctor. There are plenty of physicians who understand that patients deserve to be treated with basic courtesy, respect, and professionalism. I would never return to this office and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

My husband was an established patient of Dr. Samy as he had a stroke & needed prism glasses. He recently had another stroke & couldn't see as well. We waited over 3 hours. He finally came in for a total of 5 minutes. Never apologized. My husband was just discharged from the hospital, never even asked how he was doing. My husband was using a walker as he had a broken hip & had surgery. The office staff was aware of my husband's condition before making the appointment. This also happened @ a previous appointment. We left with nothing done! Dr. said cataracts, come back 6-9 months, surgery not needed now. We Won't be back! He deserves NO Stars!

Dr. Samy and his staff are wonderful. He is thorough, takes his time to address any questions you have, and is extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone needing a neuroophthalmologist!

Dr Samy has been very thorough in his process of diagnosing my glaucoma issues. He educates and takes the time to explain treatment options. My XenGelStent Surgery was successful and total credit to his talents as a surgeon.
