Came for their AUCE Fish and chips, and I'm here to verify that it's really good. Fry is seasoned and fried right. The red onions might need to be diced up more, or pureed in the batter. Chips were always wonderfully done and perfect size for real chips. The tartar sauce I believe was very creamy with consistency a little thicker than mayo. Great with the fish and even to cool off the fresh hot fries. Always served warm, which is what I love. Big shout out to the staff and also to the trainee. I had a rough year already and this was the break in needed. 🙏.

The batter was light, not greasy, and the fries were hot, seasoned just right, and plentiful. Easily some of the best fish and chips I’ve had, not just in Florida, but anywhere. The service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely upbeat, which really adds to the experience. Pair that with a great drink selection and a relaxed, old-world pub vibe, and you’ve got the perfect spot to unwind after exploring Saint Augustine. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Donovan’s Irish Pub delivers top-tier food, atmosphere, and hospitality. I’ll absolutely be back — this place earns every bit of five stars. 🍀🍺
I absolutely love this place! I haven’t been in a while as I live in Jax but EVERYTIME I got to St. Augustine I stop here for dinner or lunch rather than eating in actual St. Aug. I highly recommend the Sheppards pie. They even made me a vegetable version one time when I didn’t want any meat. This place is AMAZING!
VERY displeased Small portions Boring.sm. chicken wings. Little sauce. Horrible steak fries,rubbery. White, no flavor Haddock boring not crispy. Little crust. Small portion.frozen, not fresh. Suppose to be double order of fries. Very skimpy for 60.00 dollars, we hoped for better.skimpy.justboring food, no color, no flavor, they weren't busy early on a Friday evening we won't be back. Fish was better there years ago. My stomach is doing flip flops and other of usare still hungry and hangry!
