Divine Mercy House is an incredible blessing for any young mother and child. They offer more than housing—they provide pregnancy support, classes, and supplies for both mom and baby in a beautiful, safe, clean and peaceful home. The women are kind, communicative, and truly want the best for you and your family long-term. Their compassion and generosity are remarkable, and I will always be grateful for the love and support I found here. Your children are your greatest blessing from God, and this is a wonderful place to bring them.
The Home Is Made To Be A Great Place, But Currently There Are Mean Girls In The Home. I Will Always Appreciate Amy For Helping Me In The Very Beginning. The environment Inside Is not welcoming, The Girls Are not pregnant that’s currently there. All of them have babies mostly toddler age. They are very comfortable which is understanding if you live in the facility with you sister, then the other girl that’s been there longer is a good friend of there's. Amy Used To Be a very sweet women now shes invasive and doesn’t really let introverts be introverts almost like she was trying to dig deeper to see if there was more to my life then what they’re was which is typical for me. Needles to say there may be personal things going on in her life as far as handling emotions and keeping that out of work life but she never came at me absurd as she did the day I left. The girls there aren’t very clean they clean as if its there home meaning leaving crumbs everywhere leaving dirty under garments in the bathrooms and leaving food all in the sink for days on end until they’re ready to clean it. In my opinion Amy knows the atmosphere should be more welcoming instead of feeling like your walking into someone’s house that pays bills there. If your thinking about coming here just know you may get a mental toll on you with the girls that are here. These are the type of women of color that are mean to other women of color, me personally I’m from the suburbs and respect anyone i find myself making friends with girls that are open and welcoming and have a non judgmental edge to them. I do hope they get this home back to how it was because my sister had a completely different experience and Mind you she’s just like me. Amy knows she failed me and the day she blew up that situation of the girls not knowing how to do there responsibilities she tried to manipulate and say she was trying to make sure they weren’t going to keep ganging up on me. At 22 years old in my life at one point I made 100k in 3 months it’s not about the money I just carry myself very nicely and usually intimate insecure women. THIS IS A GOOD PLACE JUST NOT NOW AT THE MOMENT HOPEFULLY THE BULLIES PUT THE BULLY ENERGY INTO BETTERING THERE LIFE AND MOVE OUT🙏🏽
So I stayed here for months and am so grateful for my time there. The only complaint I had then was the management and they are under new management. The current director and assistant director are the best parts about the place. They genuinely care about their clients and to this day check in with me just to catch up (over a year later). The house has so many resources for pregnant women. They help with baby clothes, diapers, transportation within a reasonable distance, and guidance whether it be financially, spiritually, or just general advice. The rules can sometimes be overbearing but they always have the best interests of the mother and child at heart because they have seen bad situations and just want us safe. I am so grateful for the time I spent here and to am proud to call the new director (Amy) and assistant director (Michele) my family. I absolutely recommend the Divine Mercy House to any pregnant women in need of shelter. Also, if you do not have a job, they will set you up at the Divine Mercy House Thrift Store and while it is just volunteer work the thrift store will give you an allowance to spend there. I bought my furniture for my new place there and many other nice things for my children. Mike is very sweet too!
Wonderful home that takes great care of the mothers. I work for the Diocese of St. Augustine in youth ministry and I stopped by to see the home and hear their story. It is evident that they work hard to have a clean and welcoming home for any mother in need. Amy is very kind and loves the ministry she is in and it is easy to see when speaking with her as she is very joyful. Thank you for all you guys do for mothers!
The home is really nice. It is a nice, clean living space. I was welcomed with open arms and became close with the other girls and the staffs. The services they offer brought more knowledge for the future. At the end of everyday is peaceful. The staffs are really genuine and there to help with any difficulties and things such baby things and even personal. They are so supportive mentally and physically through my situation, as being mentors as the next step. I have changed a lot from within and out. I have regained my confidence and found myself once again.I am truly thankful for this place helping back on my feet. This home has became a backbone for me.
