Have been coming here for 2xs a week for a year now. The service is great. Make an appt first , then enjoy. Great OLD FASHIONED close razor sharp (not clippers) shave right here.
I don’t really leave reviews like that tbh, but I’m genuinely pissed off about this experience so I had to say something. I came in wanting a pretty basic haircut and beard cleanup 10/03 at 1PM. I nicely asked Franklyn if he could fade my beard into the haircut and he immediately caught an attitude saying, “I can only do one thing at a time,” in the rudest tone for absolutely no reason. Like bro, I’m asking you nicely. There was literally no reason to respond like that. I let it go tho like wtv. So I told him fine, just clean up the beard. Then he goes and does his own thing anyway and is pushing the electric razor HARD against my head and neck. It was ridiculously aggressive and uncomfortable to the point where I was starting to bleed. Then he completely fucked up my beard to the point where I had to go home and shave the whole thing off. And the haircut itself wasn’t even what I asked for. I specifically told him to use the clippers and take a few inches off the top. He barely touched the top of my hair. Then he starts saying, “You should’ve told me earlier.” BRO, DIDN’T YOU JUST TELL ME YOU CAN ONLY DO ONE THING AT A TIME??? Lmfao. So which one is it? Then when the main manager guy leaves, this dude starts saying out loud that something “has to happen after he leaves” and then says to himself, “That’s St. Johns County for you.” I’m standing right there like… what the fuck are you even talking about? The whole interaction was just weird, rude, and unprofessional from start to finish. And honestly, I’m not surprised his entire day was empty with nobody booking him after dealing with customers like that. I don’t blame anybody for not wanting to sit in his chair. $70 for that? $70 my ass lmfao. Even if you’re having a bad day, that doesn’t mean you get to take it out on your clients. I’m paying you $70. The bare minimum is to be respectful, listen to what I’m asking for, and not leave me having to shave my entire beard off when I get home. “15 years of experience” and you can’t even follow basic instructions lmao. Everyone else there seemed fine and respectful, but my experience with Franklyn was absolutely terrible. This isn’t your house where you can act however you want. So yea that’s my review take it however you want but definitely not coming back here. ✌️
Josephine at the IGP shop did a marvelous job. I came in for a standard buzz cut and she suggested a slight modification to my regular cut. She was professional and did a thorough job getting all the the little stragglers. The straight razor used to shave my neck was ultra sharp and positively glided. I highly recommend Josephine here and Diesel in general.
Came in for a walk-in, was seen immediately by Miss Josephine. Asked for a style cut and a hot lather shave, she also does nose waxes. 5 stars darlin! Very professional, very attentive, and takes pride in her work. If you're looking for a great spot for a great cut and shave, this is the place.
Pedro took the vaguest description of what I wanted and produced a perfect result. He took his time, his precision and attention to detail are tremendous. That's how you get a customer for life.
