  DHS has been a software and solution provider for us for over 20 years. Their software is top-notch and they release monthly updates with added features. Their tech support is the best I have encountered in the industry. They are knowledgeable, responsive, very friendly, and very well-staffed. If they need to look into something, they always update me by the end of the day even if it’s just to let me know they’re still working on it. I don’t feel left in the dark when it comes to their support. We have used their records management software the entire time. However, we just converted our shredding software to them this time last year. The conversion process lasted about 5 months (I extended the go-live date at the end because there were a few loose ends to tie up with credit card processor integration (our new processor hadn’t configured us properly, no fault of DHS). During the conversion process, I was on the phone with them daily. They kept me up to date with where we were in the process every step of the way. Every update, I was sent a change log to review and test. Issues were resolved quickly (usually before the end of the day). Their database expert, Keith, was instrumental in the process. He suggested several new meta tags to add to our customer accounts to be able to sort them by type of business as well as other metrics. The additions have allowed me to visualize my customer types, what areas and industries our customers come from. Chuck and Richard (their sales team) know their product inside and out. They have been able to help me implement numerous solutions that have boosted efficiency. They will call periodically to check up and see how things are going and ask if there are improvements or pain points with the software they can help with. Many times, the solution is already in place or in the works; it’s just a matter of implementation or waiting for the next monthly update. They have worked with me to implement changes to the software, allowing me customize our software to run my company my way. It is very apparent they listen and they care about their customers. The software takes security seriously and is PCI compliant. They stay up to date with the latest security measures and implement them quickly. While the software is the best in the industry, I would be amiss if I didn’t point out that it is not perfect. There are areas for growth, such as route management, but with customer feedback a priority and regular monthly updates, it is constantly evolving. We have been very happy with DHS and I consider it one of the best moves we’ve made. I now know that a solution is only a phone call away. Jay Barwick President River Mill Data Management, LLC
