10+ visits and LOVE it every time! If you are looking for a true, Italian family-owned restaurant don't miss D'Fontana. I keep trying to remember to take photos when our food comes out but it seems I am consistently overwhelmed by the delicious aromas so I will have to share photos of what I took home! Portions are ample and a great value for quality, authentic ingredients. Their pizza and calzones are delicious, but don't miss the incredible entrees. We have tasted our way around the menu and have yet to be disappointed. Their sauces are delicious and clearly made with love (and a lot of Italian family knowledge!). The cannoli also come in chocolate and are yummy, but we opted for the traditional this time. (Also great with coffee the next day!). And if you are lucky enough to dine on a day that Rachel has made her pignoli cookies you would be crazy not to try them! They recently added wings to their offerings - not sure that's traditional Italian fare but goes great with their pizza! The staff are friendly, engaging, and happy to offer recommendations and honest opinions - and are mostly all related to one another! :) The atmosphere is clean, comfortable and cozy, and always filled with beautiful fresh flowers from the florist next door. This picture is before dinner because I didn't want to post pics of strangers. Don't be fooled - they can get busy. They are good at accommodating parties of all sizes but if you have more than 4 a call ahead is wise. Don't miss this authentic and charming little restaurant!
First off, I want to say the staff at D’Fontana works very hard, and my family has ordered from here for a long time. Their regular round pizzas are honestly very good, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Today we ordered what was supposed to be a Sicilian pizza, expecting what we have always received in the past and what is still clearly advertised online. The photo on the left is what is posted and what we normally received before — a true traditional Sicilian pizza: thick, square, airy dough, fluffy texture, and cut into 16 slices filling the entire box. What we received today (photo on the right) was an 8-slice round pizza that was slightly thicker than normal, hard as a rock, dense, and nothing close to a traditional Sicilian pizza. We were then told this is their “new Sicilian.” Respectfully, this should not be called a Sicilian pizza at all because it is false advertising. If the recipe and product changed, then the website and advertising should change too. Customers should not order one thing expecting what has always been served only to receive something completely different. I will admit I became frustrated during the situation and did apologize for losing my cool. But at the same time, customers also deserve honesty and consistency. The owner openly states this is a Christian-owned business. My family is Christian as well, which is why this was even more disappointing. As believers, integrity matters. Jesus teaches honesty, fairness, and truth in how we deal with people. You cannot advertise one product while knowingly serving something entirely different and expect customers not to feel deceived. I genuinely hope the owner reflects on this and returns to serving an actual traditional Sicilian pizza instead of continuing to falsely advertise something it no longer is. I truly wanted to support this business because their regular pizza is great, but this Sicilian pizza was unfortunately terrible and nowhere near what was promised
Had a work lunch meeting in this lovely little town. Very cute and cozy Italian style dining room with great service. They had a lunch menu and lots of traditional Italian dishes. For lunch I just got the Italian sub which was very good. My buddy got the chicken parm sub and loved it. Good value, great people, nice subs. Recommend.
The garlic bread looks like something you would buy at the dollar store. It wasnt even cooked all the way through and it tasted stale. And no thats not bad lighting, thats really how awful the garlic bread looked. My spouse said the dipping sauce tasted like it has been sitting in an old metal can in the back of the fridge. No white sauce pizza options for those that have a tomato allergy but like pizza, maybe the owner might want to consider adding that to the menu. We didnt even finish eating the garlic bread because it was so awful. This is the first and LAST time we will dine here.
Pizza and a salad was 76.00 thru Uber. Manager took no responsibility for size and quantity. He said call uber they can refund you. U recommend the delivery place but put them down. Didn’t offer to remake it. Not his problem
