Dr. Owens is so great. We saw him for a sick visit for two of my kids and he listened, made sure we understood the options and what he was recommending. He even consulted with another doctor on my daughter’s issue to make sure he wasn’t missing anything. Our regular doctor is Dr. Dudley, who is also amazing by the way, and if she’s ever unavailable, from now on I’m asking for Dr. Owens. When we first came to Carithers last year, we were told they are the best…. That is an understatement. Before coming here I don’t recall ever having a particularly kind or knowledgeable pediatrician; let alone ones who go above and beyond for your kids. Never taking my kids anywhere else!!!
Dr. Owens is very very knowledgeable and relatable to the patients and parents. This was our first appointment with our newborn and he answered a lot aquestions for us as new parents before we could even think to ask. I look forward to having him as our daughter's primary pediatrician.
We love Dr Owens. He obviously loves his job and kids. He’s so knowledgeable and does an incredible job giving thorough, but digestible explanations to any and all health concerns. He gives you, the parent, amazing consideration and patience. I appreciate his approach and bedside manner, very lovely, genuine, and joyful. Would recommend him to all parents in Jax area!
Dr. Owens was wonderful with my 17-year-old son. We have used Dr. Cheek at Carithers for years, but he retired and we needed to find a new PCP—I think Dr. Owen’s is it! He chatted with my son, was super relational, and very thorough with his medical assessment. Highly recommend!
Dr. Owens is an absolute gem of a pediatrician. He has been taking care of our kids for the last five years, and we could not be more grateful for his dedication, expertise, and warmth. From routine checkups to last-minute sick visits, he consistently goes above and beyond to ensure our children feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. What stands out most is his incredible bedside manner. He takes the time to truly listen to parents' concerns without ever making you feel rushed, and he connects with the kids in a way that puts them completely at ease. Finding a physician you trust implicitly with your children’s health is a true blessing, and Dr. Owens is top-tier. Highly recommended to any parent searching for an extraordinary doctor! Please do not overload his schedule because he will be following my kids until they are old enough.
