I wish I could give these people negative stars but I can’t. Agents are condescending and rude. If the government is paying you to help people in need then do that. If you don’t like helping people stay away from jobs like this. I qualified for expedited benefits and here I am a month later with nothing. Every time I call every agent has no idea what’s going on with my case. An agent even went at far as “escalating” my case to be reviews within 5 days, I call on the 6th day just for an agent to tell me the previous agent didn’t actually do anything. They are playing with people’s livelihood, I have a 5 month baby and a teenager to feed yet they don’t seem to care and almost mock my situation. These people should all be ashamed of themselves, and there should be an investigation with these people. Terrible people
These people really sucks at doing their job. No communication at all. I’ve really been waiting since February for SNAP benefits. There is never a supervisor to speak with. You call they put escalation in and tell you that you have to wait 2 business days or maybe even 5 still haven’t heard anything back. Did me another application to see if that application will move fast and still waiting I’m now like 50 days into waiting to hear something back. Caseworkers not doing their job then they say they’re backed up but it’s no way they are this backed up. Literally been spending cash on food. They have to do better because this is so unprofessional
If I could, I would give them -10. We drove there for over 5 times, because the phone lines are never working. Tried to fix mistakes they never submitted, over and over. Spoke to supervisor and she didn't do anything either, when told us she would fix it. Very frustrating, I can't imagine what people has to go through to get any assistance. It's like swimming toward current, nothing gets done. Thanks God we have a car, can't imagine who doesn't, its sad, they don't care.
Be aware that the location that is open is not the one quoted from a Google search. Once I was there, I did have to sign up for an appointment. The wait was about an hour, I waited in my car, but once back inside the weight was very short and the service was very good.
If I could give DCF and the system, in general, a zero star rating, I would. We had 2 unfortunate situations recently where DCF had to be involved in checking on my son. Joshua is in the WRONG line of work. At one point, after not responding to a text for several days, asking him an important medical question about my child, I got my chance to ask him this questions again, this time on the phone. And I also got to ask him why something relevant and important to my sons well being had taken so much time for him to respond. And his answer was, "I have more cases than just yours and I can't be bothered answering your unimportant questions." And you already know my answer....."I don't care if you have a million cases, I have one son, and I want an answer to an IMPORTANT medical question!" Josh also failed us the second time by waiting TWENTY NINE days to do his very first follow up with me, after having to get DCF involved again. 29. During this time, I was in such desperate help for my son and his only answer was Youth crisis center. Great resource, considering i called twice a days for 5 days and couldnt get my son in there. Helping children i crisis is, like, what theyre supposed to do! I believe all these resources they give you to "help" are all a front! And he texted me (29 days later) that my son's father refused to meet with him, expecting me to help him out by getting someones contact info for him. As if my son's well being mattered, after waiting 20some days to even contact my son's aggressor. As far as I remember, they have 30 days to close a case. The system sucks, dcf's phone system hangs up on you. DCF Josh, as I call him, should not be doing what he's doing. The system sucks! All of it!
