I paid $800 for a 2hr consultation with James Poindexter because I was looking for real help and direction with a difficult case. In my opinion, I got almost no value from it. I did not feel listened to, I did not feel the material I sent was meaningfully addressed, and I walked away without a real strategy, game plan, organization, or useful advice. Then weeks later I received an additional bill, even though no one told me during the call that I had gone beyond the prepaid time or was being charged more. I only got an explanation after I questioned it. What bothered me most was what happened after I left a negative review about my experience. James emailed me asking me to remove it and raised defamation in connection with what I had written. That communication felt threatening to me, especially considering I was simply describing my own experience and opinion. I reached out to this firm for help and instead felt dismissed, poorly communicated with, unexpectedly billed, and then pressured after leaving a negative review. Based on my experience, I would not use this firm again.
