Davoli's Catering

This review is sooooo late it’s not even funny but I have to. Fred catered our wedding 10.5 years ago and he and his staff were amazing. He is such a sweet caring man and out of all my vendors I remember him the most. I had very specific ideas on what I wanted the fruit display to look like and he executed it perfectly. The place settings were perfect and the food was incredible. I even got to take home a bunch of the shrimp alfredo which made for a very happy, well fed, bride. During the father daughter dance I happened to look over and see Fred leaning over the stairs at the Hilliard Mansion with the biggest smile on his face watching us. I can’t recall what anyone else was doing, but I know Fred was glowing with warmth watching a father dance with his daughter on her wedding day. He truly cares and I would choose him 1,000 times over. Best vendor we had, hands down. Sorry so late, sir. I think of you often and I pray you are doing well. My husband and I speak fondly of you everytime our wedding comes up.

Davolis was my caterer for my wedding in March. The staff was very nice and professional and the food was DELICIOUS when we tried it for our tastings. We had a buffet style wedding, so I knew the food wouldn’t be as “fresh” during a buffet but I was okay with that. We had chicken parm among other things and the chicken parm was nothing like what it tasted at our tasting. There was zero seasoning, it was dry, thick pieces of chicken, and there was maybe a teaspoon of sauce and cheese on each piece of chicken. The veggies and potatoes were near raw. The penne vodka was good. We were really disappointed and our wedding of over 100 guests barely touched their chicken.

The food tasted good based on the tasting & guest feedback. Working directly with Mr. Davoli was also a pleasure. Unfortunately, his team did not meet the same standard. Several promises made prior to the event were not honored, including to-go meals for the bride and groom, gluten-free hors d’oeuvres for the bridal party, and the request to avoid plastic cups during cocktail hour. Additionally, some guests did not receive their meals (including head tables), and the kitchen was very loud during speeches. While nothing completely ruined the night, the number of service issues and unmet commitments would likely prevent me from hiring this caterer again. I do hope that they can work to be better for future brides!

Devolis was amazing. Wonderful staff. Fantastic food. They catered our wedding and couldn’t be happier with them. You guys are a great team that delivered exceptional service at our wedding. Thank you all.
