David Salek, M.D.

I normally don't leave reviews unless they are excellent- generally if nothing nice to say don't say it however I don't know what's going on in the office. I like Dr Salek alot. I cant imagine he is OK with this if he knew about it! I seen him march 12 my medicine was overdue so I was out already. We decided to switch to something else but needed prior authorization. Not sure what happened but I've been on phone with both insurance since March 15 and not resolved due to 2 simple questions the insurance requested on 18th. Since I needed my meds I requested with scheduler for them to send me old meds to hold over till authorization was done. I made sure to tell them which pharmacy location. My normal meds dosage was changed without consult or even a requested call and sent to wrong pharmacy. Today while I was on recorded call with insurance they called dr office, they scheduler Nicole made comment that I had called several times and was laughing like my health is a joke. These people definitely don't care how them not doing their job effects my health. Then insurance thought my dr was some guy with last name Hale whom I've never met. Not sure what's going but its horrible! It seems the staff not Dr Salek is getting worse by the day. Im absolutely dumbfounded by this and issue still not resolved! I hope Dr Salek sees this and resolves quickly! Update DR Salek himself contacted me and quickly corrected the situation. I was corrected in thinking he wasn't aware of situation. I am confident that everything has been address. He is a very attentive, empathetic and compassionate dr!

I was referred to Dr Salek at the Jax Beach office and I verify w Aetna Select Choice that he was on my plan but after calling his office they say he is no longer part of the plan. Sad that a Dr affiliated w Baptist staff does not want to be part of great plan . I work in a busy office so we know how to help new patients and verify insurance.

I cannot recommend Dr. David Salek highly enough. From the moment we walked into the office, I felt welcomed and at ease. It is rare to find a physician who balances high-level expertise with such a genuine, personable bedside manner.

Dr Salek is professional, personable and provides effective solutions for chronic back pain in his patients. He has virtually eliminated my back issues, allowing me to once again lead a normal lifestyle. And his staff make the entire visit a pleasant experience. I am thankful to have been referred to his practice!
