  I deeply regret ever trusting David N Adams at Ameriprise Financial Services with my finances. What began as a hope for sound financial guidance quickly unraveled into one of the most disheartening experiences of my life. I feel completely taken advantage of — emotionally exhausted and financially worse off than when I started. David’s recommendations were not only inappropriate but blatantly unsuitable for my financial situation. The investments he pushed were poorly matched to my goals, and ultimately, they led to a significant and painful loss — over 10% of my portfolio. I was shocked to discover I was being charged a 1% management fee, not based on performance, but simply on the account value — all while watching that value steadily decline. What’s even more upsetting is the sheer lack of professionalism and competence. My most recent attempt to transfer my funds was met with conflicting stories: David told me the paperwork had been sent to the wrong address and returned to me — but I never received it. Out of desperation, I contacted the corporate office directly, only to be told a completely different story. The inconsistency, confusion, and lack of accountability have been exhausting. Every other financial institution I’ve worked with has handled things with a reasonable level of transparency and efficiency — and then there’s Ameriprise. This experience has left me feeling misled, unsupported, and betrayed by a firm I trusted with my future. What I thought was going to be a secure, professional relationship turned out to be anything but. If you’re considering working with David N Adams or Ameriprise, I urge you — please think twice.
