They retook an x ray that had been taken the day before, and it was a better quality x ray -- and they cut and break that the previous radiologists didn't even see. Excellent care! We got seen in very little time. And everyone we dealt with was kind and helpful.
Nemours as a whole is fantastic. Over the years bumps and bruises have led us to take our children here on occasion. The staff is always kind and friendly and great with the little ones. On our recent visit with Dr. Mandel , we were there for a follow up for my son’s broken leg. He entered the room and proclaimed “no more trampolines for you!” My husband and I were quite confused by this as our son had been injured from a fall at ChuckECheese and it had been well documented in his file. He told us he “glanced” at our son’s file and doubted his leg was broken but wanted a confirmation xray. An hour later he was back to say that our son’s leg was in fact broken and he needed a cast from the hip down. We are self pay at $425 just to make an appointment with these doctors. At that price, it would be nice if they could at least know which patient they are in the room with and be more certain of their injuries.
Dr. Mandel is absolutely perfection! My son tore his meniscus and ACL playing football and my husband and I had sooooo many questions and you know how tik tok doctor can send you down a rabbit hole. Dr. Mandel answered every question with detail and patience. He is a doctor that is a little bit of old school and new school put together. Honest and direct!!! 10 out of 10 and highly recommend!!! Fyi...my son's main sport is baseball but was playing football at the time of his injury. He is back on the field and playing at an elite level! Thank you Dr. Mandel!!
Dr. Mandel was incredibly caring and took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure while answering all of our questions. He is clearly an extremely talented surgeon. He performed my son’s knee surgery to secure his patella, and the results have been amazing. My son is now not only healed, but stronger and more stable than before. We are very grateful for Dr. Mandel’s expertise and the excellent care he provided.
Daughter broke her arm and they were quick, thorough and kind. They explained everything that was happening and my daughter was very comfortable. We were in and out in under an hour on a Saturday.
