My wife and I visited this place after church today and we enjoyed a couple of choices from the menu. She chose the 3-entree meal of fried shrimp, scallops and chicken stripe with baked potato and fried corn on the cob. I chose the fried shrimp with baked potato and fried corn on the cob. We both chose to drink water. We used to go often to the sister location that used to be on Normandy Blvd west of I-295. That location, Sam's St. Johns Seafood, closed a couple years ago. It was pretty cool to see so many Christian families, including my former pastor and his flock of great-grand children. My wife commented how she enjoyed this restaurant and she is very particular about where she wants to eat.
The restaurant is 10/10 with fresh and yummy seafood and delicious side dishes. The crab legs were super sweet and juicy, the scallops melted in your mouth, the conch fritters and gator tail were seasoned incredibly well and they have the best hush puppies I've ever tasted! The waiters were super kind and attentive and the atmosphere and location are also great. It was only about a 10 min drive from my mom's house where we were staying while visiting Jacksonville. We will definitely be returning on our next visit and for the all you can eat crab legs on Mondays that the staff kindly told us about. I definitely will recommend this place to everyone that wants casual eating and fresh delicious seafood in Jacksonville! 👍🏼
AYCE snow crab legs on Monday is a must. They serve you 5-6 clusters on the first plate, comes with 2 sides plus fried shrimp & hush puppies. Best bang for your buck in Jax!
This is a typical Fish place on the West side of Jacksonville. Very nice for lunch with the "GalPals" or dinners with family or oot guests. The staff very accommodating. The food was great. Enuff for a second meal for me. Which I devoured on the drive home.
Love Crystal River but the management here sucks! I found silver steel in my green beans and all they can do is replace the green beans from the same batch I just got. First of all it’s an inconvenience to go back up there when I’m already home. My food will be cold! Secondly I don’t want green beans that are contaminated! A discount on my next order should have been the solution! The management sucks here!
