My husband and I came here as part of a stay in the hotel and we were so excited by our meal. From the person who greeted us to our server Martin, every moment was wonderful! Martin took the time to give us insightful recommendations, asked about what we enjoyed and every suggestion he made was perfect! He is really awesome!! Everything is amazing! 100% recommendation!! We will definitely come back soon!
I never like posting dislikes however we were highly disappointed. Presentations were very pretty but they also showcased dryness. Let's get into the details....pork belly-chewy and greasy flavor. I've had some amazing pork belly, for us this was lacking. Ceasar- half of us like the in sual dressing. I wouldn't have called it a ceasar, there wasn't anything amazing about this. Waygu - it was cut into smaller pieces, which should not happen. Let that puppy rest and let your customer cut it. Meat was chewy and tough to cut. Grouper was hard on outside and mango on top was dry. It was over cooked. It did not flake with a fork. It wasn't moist, and the outside tasted like fried oil. Two things that we did enjoy was the mushrooms, well seasoned and great mix as well as the fries. On a side note our waiter was asking odd questions to make her own decision that was odd and did not feel comfortable and focused. She was soft spoken so it was difficult to hear her.
Absolutely TERRIBLE Experience! My girlfriend and I had dinner reservations for my birthday and Valentine’s Day at 8:45pm and we didn’t get seated until an hour later. We ordered the Chef’s menu expecting a top notch culinary experience for over $115 / person (not including drinks)… we were sorely disappointed. The “mood lighting” lamp died in the beginning of our dinner experience and was never replaced. The food in the four course menu came out Luke-warm. We didn’t finish our dinner til 11:11 pm, that was even after speed eating because we were hungry eating cold food. We would’ve been better off ordering a pizza to our hotel room. Total disappointment, 1/10, would NOT recommend.
I always wanted to valet a golf cart at a fancy restaurant. ✅ Nestled inside the Hotel Casa Monica is Cordova - named after the Spanish city and featuring food influenced by the same culture. We enjoyed Gambas al ajillo, swordfish and a massive steak in a lovely environment with a professional staff.
The service was very good from the moment we arrived. The hostess, Dana, and our server were both attentive and welcoming throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the food was a complete disappointment. The meatballs had an overwhelming acidic lime flavor that did not harmonize with the dish at all — honestly some of the worst I have had. The only somewhat redeeming item were the prawns. I also ordered a steak, but the doneness was completely different from what I requested. Attention to detail was also lacking. One of the plates served was visibly chipped, which is quite surprising for a restaurant in a hotel that claims to maintain a high level of quality. The biggest issue came with dessert. The fruit garnish included a raspberry with visible mold, and the lime slice was completely dried out. The tart itself was watery and had a noticeable “refrigerator taste,” as if it had been stored uncovered for too long. Overall, this experience was extremely surprising given the level and quality that this establishment supposedly represents. While the service was good, the food quality and attention to detail were very disappointing.
