The CORA Ponte Vedra Beach team is top notch! Andrea and Amy are very knowledgeable in assessing issues, setting realistic expectations and goals, and encouraging and acknowledging the hard work involved in any recovery process. They are both terrific educators and are very generous in sharing their knowledge and experience with their peers and interns resulting in an entire team of well-qualified professionals. All of this creates a very welcoming and comfortable environment and helped my husband and me feel relaxed and optimistic as we navigated recovering from our surgeries/injuries. We are grateful!!
I've been to many PT clinics over the years and this one stood out as the worst. Felt like a mill and was pushed to pay cash $170 - with an opaque explanation - for cheaper rates but after I switched to Brooks it was $20 a session (?). The physical therapist didn't introduce herself and went right into the session with little warmth or empathy. They don't use pillow cushions - presumably to save money - so your head is sweating on a plastic pillow that innumerable other heads have sweat on. I was told that I would have this therapist for the duration and then was immediately pawned off on an assistant the next session. No one actually laid hands on me the second session; I have never experienced that before during PT. They never gave me a home exercise plan, which I always thought was sort of the point of PT. They told me I needed to go there three times a week. I jumped ship and the PT at Brooks said, "Mmmmm...once a week is fine for you."
Andrea runs an exemplary clinic! She herself is a stellar therapist as is her team including interns and staff. This is such a positive, encouraging practice. PT can be daunting, but they allow patients to feel they are well on the road to recovery!
Andrea was absolutely amazing and helped me through my initial post-op recovery of both of my hip reconstructions! I was in awful shape not able to walk after my first surgery and they had to help me out of the car when I first got there in a wheelchair. She got me into shape quick and I walked out the door on my own after my first visit! Everyone is super kind, friendly and knowledgeable. Had an amazing experience after both surgeries! Would give 10 stars if I could.
I am now 14 weeks after knee surgery and I am doing great! I did not realize how important my pre surgery physical therapy was at the time, but my surgeon was impressed by the good muscle tone in my knee! Surgery went well and I was back with CORA the day after surgery! My bandage was removed that day and the first few days were tough but I could feel that my new knee was strengthening under the CORA program! The Ponte Vedra CORA office has to be the top of all of the others, because of their personal approach to treatment! You are made to feel special and that the procedures are tailored just for you! Thanks, Dill Harper
