This church has been like a family to us from the first time we came. My kids and I have been coming here now for about 4 years and the church has been an incredible support system and has taught us so much about God, the Bible, and has really helped connect all of us to the purpose God intended for our lives. 2 Easters ago my kids felt led to be baptized on their own accord and I couldn't be prouder. The church has thrown us a beautiful memorial service for my son that passed away last year, and a nice baby shower for our double rainbow baby ❤️ they have helped us so much in times of need and celebrated with us during times of blessings. Glad to call this church our home!
I love the people here, but the church itself has serious issues that shouldn’t be ignored. There is a clear pattern of prioritizing outward displays over matters of the heart. During a sermon on tithing, the pastor stated he was led by God and then publicly went up and put money in the offering plate. Whether intentional or not, it came across as performative and set a visible expectation for others to follow. That kind of example pressures people into external compliance rather than genuine conviction. Support for men and those struggling with addiction is also lacking. Instead of fostering restoration and understanding, the culture often leans toward judgment and condemnation. People who need help are more likely to feel scrutinized than supported. Leadership structure raises additional concerns. With family members holding positions of authority, it creates an environment where favoritism and gossip can take root, whether acknowledged or not. The church is also overly controlling in matters of marriage. There is a strong push toward state-recognized marriage while discouraging tools like prenuptial agreements. Rather than equipping individuals to make wise, informed decisions, the approach feels rigid and coercive—more about compliance than counsel. Personally, I experienced what I consider spiritual abuse here. My father and I attempted to start a recovery ministry, but it was shut down. This happened while I was recovering from a difficult divorce and being pressured toward remarriage. Instead of being given space to heal and lead responsibly, my hesitation—especially around marriage and legal commitments—was judged and used against me. The overall culture feels like “fall in line or be sidelined.” There is far more emphasis on control and outward conformity than on grace, restoration, and the condition of the heart.
This church is the best I've ever attended! I love it here! Everyone is welcoming and friendly :) This is truly a place to call home. I remember walking in the door the first morning I attended. I went in feeling heartbroken and discouraged by previous churches I'd been to. I was nervous, yet I knew if I could just step inside even for a few minutes, my life would be changed. So I did, and I can honestly say that I've never felt more welcome anywhere else. I was greeted with handshakes, hugs, and smiles. And as soon as worship began, I couldn't help but cry. I was completely overtaken by the joy and love of God, that I'd never felt prior to coming here. I came in as a stranger, and left feeling like a part of the family :) Definitely check it out!
God led, holy spirit filled church. Come and join us, come Connect to God, to people and to God's purpose for your life. Life changing for our family, love this place.
Worship was amazing. My KIDS LOVED IT! The people were the most friendly I've ever encountered in a church without being weird. I am definitely going back and think I may have found my new church home.
