Absolutely outstanding experience at Computer FX! I needed my graphics card, power supply, and hard drive transferred into a new tower while using other components from my older tower, and they handled everything perfectly. The whole process was smooth from start to finish, with clear communication the entire time. Troy kept me updated and made what could have been a stressful job completely stress-free. Highly recommend Computer FX if you need reliable, professional computer work done right. Troy knows what he's doing and treats his customers great. Will definitely be back!
I have been taking my PC and Laptop to Computer Fx, Inc for over ten years now and they have always repaired them at a reasonable price and with quaitly work. The PC I have now I bought from Troy and never have had a problem with it. I highly recommend them for service and repairs, and if you would like to buy a rebuild PC.
1 star – Guessing instead of diagnosing I brought my PC in for a display loss / black screen issue, and this technician never properly diagnosed the problem. Instead, he repeatedly guessed, changing the explanation and swapping parts without proving the cause. Here is the actual sequence of events: First, I was told it was my SSD Then it was a wire in my case Then I was told my original motherboard was “fried” He replaced my motherboard with one that did not even have Bluetooth, even though my original board did The display loss issue continued exactly the same Somehow, the replacement motherboard was suddenly not fried, even though the same issue persisted Then it became my peripherals (keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc.) Finally, he claimed it was my PSU and replaced it, which also did not fix the problem On top of all that, he installed a CPU cooler that was extremely loud and not functioning properly, which caused my Ryzen 7 7700X to overheat severely, hitting the mid-to-high 90s °C just loading into a game. I took my PC to a different technician who immediately identified the real issue: improper CPU cooling. He removed the bad cooler, installed a proper Arctic Freezer, wiped corrupted system files, ran stress tests, and confirmed stable temperatures and performance. Once the overheating was fixed, the display loss issue was completely resolved. If my motherboard had truly been fried, replacing it would have fixed the issue. The fact that the same problem followed every “replacement” until the overheating was addressed proves this technician was guessing instead of diagnosing. Bottom line: unnecessary part replacements, system downgrades, wasted money, and hardware put at risk. I strongly recommend going elsewhere.
Mr. Troy and Company are amazing professionals… I would recommend any single individual and Professional organization to Have their equipment and order IT services to be remedied or serviced by these great technicians in world class service they provide five stars all the way! They authorize their work with excellence!
