I can’t say enough good things about my wedding photography. Heather was amazing and made sure we got all the pictures we expected and more! Truly exceeded our expectations and we are forever grateful! Will absolutely use this business again & would recommend to anyone for their wedding/events!!
I will start this review with a few positives, as a bridesmaid for a wedding that used this company. I interacted with the coordinator Kathy, assistant Yvonne, and DJ Glam during parts of set up as well as during the event, so I feel I can rightfully leave a review even though I did not personally contract the services. I also used to work in the wedding industry, and have around 125 weddings under my belt from a behind the scenes perspective. First and foremost, DJ Glam is absolutely out of this world. Not only did she absolutely kill it in the booth, but she arrived with the biggest smile on her face and an amazing outfit that went with the Valentines theme from her nails all the way to her shoes. It was a “no requests” wedding as the brides curated a wonderful playlist, and she honored their vision and executed everything flawlessly. Thank you for being a highlight of a special day for people I care about very much. Yvonne did well as an assistant to the coordinator, which I know must be difficult when the coordinator is not doing the best job. She was largely in charge of the Photo Booth during the reception, which is also a tough job. Handling people who are in party mode and have been visiting the bar all evening is no small task, and she kept the line moving and the area fun and safe. We did have an issue of text appearing across some of the photos in black font (slightly blending with the darker backdrop), so it wasn’t spotted in real time and did impact a large amount of those photos. However, I do not know enough about the set up to know if this was something in her control or if she was there once someone else had done an incorrect set up just to ensure everything ran smoothly and stayed in place. Kathy was a pretty big let down from the coordination side of things, and that is the reason for my low review rating. I am a very Type A person, and I can acknowledge that not everybody operates like that. However, I don’t think that being the point person of important events is a job best suited for people who are not meticulous and detail oriented. I can see from photos on this company’s Google search results that some of the weddings took place at the venue that I used to work at as a banquet server. I believe that a portion of the positive factors in some of the better reviews can be attributed to the banquet director and banquet manager at that venue (and potentially other venues) who are always in attendance and running a lot behind the scenes, even for events with an outside coordinator. This was also the case at my friend’s wedding. While we still had an amazing wedding for my friends, I wish that I and a few others had been able to take off our Type A bridesmaid hats for the whole day and be more present as members of the bridal party and less involved in putting out small fires and redoing certain details that had not been executed correctly by Kathy. I also think that the mid-reception announcements should have been tasked to DJ Glam, as she had a wonderful presence on the mic and had a good rapport with the guests due to her positive demeanor. Kathy’s announcements felt a bit abrasive and interrupted the flow of things each time. Overall, I think my friends had a magical and wonderful day; however, I sincerely believe that this would not have been the case without a literal army of bridesmaids and family members willing to step up, anticipate issues, and take control. When you are paying a company for a service meant specifically to do those things, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth when the stress of their failures still impacts the day. My heart goes out to others in the reviews that were blindsided by this and didn’t have as many people around who could keep things moving smoothly for their big day.
s a bridesmaid, I had a front-row seat to the chaos, and unfortunately, Kathy was at the center of it. For a “day-of coordinator,” organization seemed to be optional. She repeatedly got names wrong, lined people up incorrectly, and needed constant correcting. At one point it felt like we were running a group project in high school and no one assigned her the Google Doc. She interrupted the reception multiple times in ways that were abrupt and awkward, completely disrupting the flow of the evening. Instead of blending seamlessly into the background like a true professional, she somehow managed to make herself the loudest and least prepared person in the room. Several photos now permanently feature empty seating because of improper crowd placement. That’s not a small detail, that’s Wedding Coordination 101. During hora loca, she appeared visibly unprepared and unsure of what was happening. The Photo Booth she coordinated left “text” across about one-third of the photos. Nothing like a surprise watermark to really elevate your wedding album. And while professionalism isn’t just about appearance, it’s worth noting that her outfit looked less “wedding coordinator” and more “area rug that gained consciousness.” It was distracting and didn’t match the formality of the event. Most concerning, though, was her demeanor. She came across as disengaged, irritated, hungry, and completely out of her depth. A day-of coordinator should bring calm confidence. Instead, she brought confusion. I truly hope she takes this feedback seriously, because no couple deserves added stress on their wedding day. Thankfully our brides and bridal party were rock stars. I will lastly note that DJ glam was phenomenal which is why the extra star.
Photography and Videography If you are looking for STUNNING PHOTOS and VIDEO plus WONDERFUL SERVICE, look no further!! From the very first call (I talked to Scott), Complete Weddings and Events were professional, caring and went above and beyond to capture the magic of our wedding day. They arrived on time and ready to do what they do best! They took special care of my family with medical problems, making sure to work fast when needed. They were patient with me when I was frazzled. They were so kind to everyone and for this my husband and I are so very thankful. When we received the photos and video, we were blown away! You expect to see some great photos and not so great but so many shots were excellent, it's hard to decide what ones we like best. The photographers and videographers are extremely talented! My husband and I want to give a special thank you to Scott, Kathy, Taven, Kendra and her assistant for sharing in our day and doing such a wonderful job!!! THANK YOU, Always Brian and Tamara
I have very mixed feelings writing this review. On one hand, DJ Glam was absolutely amazing. She was the highlight of our night, kept the energy perfect, and I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation. However, the rest of our experience with this company was incredibly stressful. We spent months planning our wedding details and communicating our needs, but it felt like our instructions were completely ignored or completely forgotten about by our day-of coordinator, Kathy. Instead of being a support system, Kathy caused me an immense amount of stress on the wedding day. Most upsettingly, she mispronounced my last name multiple times during the event. After months of preparation and communication, having a professional fail at such a basic and personal detail was deeply hurtful. We also had a frustrating experience with the photo booth. We didn't realize until the morning after the wedding that every single photo strip had the word “text” overlaid on the third photo.(see photos) It’s disappointing that the attendant didn't catch or fix this technical glitch during the reception, as it impacted every guest's keepsake from the night. While we are so grateful for DJ Glam’s talent, we cannot recommend the coordination services or the photo booth based on the lack of attention to detail and the unnecessary stress we experienced.
