If I could give Community First Bank zero stars, I would. I went to one of their branches to cash a check that Community First Bank themselves issued to me. I pulled into what appears to be a normal drive-thru teller lane, only to be told after waiting that it was “ATM only.” That’s incredibly misleading. Nearly every bank has a drive-thru window where you can speak with a teller, but apparently not this branch. After that, I had to go inside and wait another 20 minutes just to be helped. When I finally got to the teller, she cashed my check and asked how I wanted the cash. I initially said it didn’t matter, but then immediately asked if I could receive it in a specific denomination. Instead of providing customer service, she looked at me and said, “Sorry, boy, I’m already past that point.” The tone and choice of words came across as dismissive and unprofessional. A simple willingness to accommodate a reasonable request—or at least respond respectfully—would have made all the difference. Between the confusing drive-thru setup, the long wait, and the poor customer service, this experience was incredibly disappointing. I cannot recommend Community First Bank based on how I was treated. There are plenty of financial institutions that value professionalism and respect their customers’ time. I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.
I want to make it very clear that I repeatedly contacted Jack Hanania and asked how my vehicle could have a total financed amount of $56,000. I was told that the total amount, including everything, would be approximately $51,000. However, when I checked my bank statement, I discovered that the financed amount was actually $56,000. I repeatedly contacted the dealership to ask why there was a $5,000 difference, but I could not get a clear explanation. I also spoke with a bank woman named Deborah several times, but she was unable to explain why my vehicle financing amount was $56,000. I also had difficulty understanding the representative who handles their online phone calls, and I felt that my concerns were not being properly addressed. I was also told that my interest rate would be 2.9%, but when I reviewed my bank statements and financing documents, I saw an interest rate of 3.99%. This is another issue that I need the dealership to explain clearly. On top of the financing issues, I believe I was given a vehicle with serious problems. I have had to have the battery serviced multiple times, and the roof also had a leak. These problems have caused me significant stress, inconvenience, and expense. When I asked the account manager to explain why my vehicle was financed for $56,000 and why the interest rate appeared to be different from what I was told, the manager treated me very poorly and did not provide a professional or satisfactory explanation. The way I was treated was extremely disrespectful and unacceptable. There are also problems with my personal information. My address was entered incorrectly in the dealership’s records, which is another serious concern because financial documents and account information should contain accurate personal information. I am extremely disappointed with Jack Hanania. I feel that I was not given accurate information about the vehicle’s price, financing amount, interest rate, and other charges. I want a complete and transparent written breakdown showing exactly how the $56,000 financing amount was calculated, including the vehicle price, taxes, fees, warranties, add-ons, interest rate, and any other charges. I also want my personal information and address to be corrected in all dealership and financing records. I expect a clear explanation of these discrepancies and professional treatment when I contact th dealership about my account.
Gwen Ruiz provided excellent customer service and guided me through the new membership with ease answering all questions and provided helpful advice and tools to navigate my new account and future endeavors. Thanks for being customer centric
Mrs. Gwen was soooo very helpful and very informative. I recommend her to anyone looking for a new credit union home. She treated me like family.
Bri Snipes was the greatest banker i have ever come across. Between the meaningful conversations and her kind hearted/comedic nature, she made my visit very memorable. She deserves a branch to herself, her pursuit in helping others is admirable!
