Bill is amazing and has helped me in so many ways. Stacy at the front desk is so welcoming and makes you feel at home right when you walk in the door. I cannot say enough about this place. I truly only interacted with Bill and Stacy on a regular basis, but the other therapists there seemed amazing as well. If I was waiting in the lobby, they would always acknowledge me and smile. I can truly say that Bill, Stacy and the rest of Community Behavioral Services staff honestly SAVED MY LIFE!!! I continue to go back, not as often as I would like, but I try to get there at least monthly. I would give 10 stars if I could.
Do NOT recommend. I’ve been on the schedule since October of last year for my son. In their defense, I missed some paper work and had to send it same day of appt. I got the zoom link at 2:47 but kept getting “incorrect password” messages and tried to call the office, by 2:53 I got ahold of them and they told me I’d have to reschedule because the doctor was gone for the day. So the doctor gives the parents 6 minutes to join the call or he will leave?? That seems extremely unprofessional, especially considering they are a behavioral office.
My therapist William Hughes was awesome. Unfortunately, I cannot see him anymore due to the billing office practices. 8 months after receiving services and believing my insurance had covered the sessions, and co-pays paid, and nothing ever said to me about any problems … for services I received in 2022, I have now in 2023 received a bill for over $1000. I’ve never had an unpaid or late bill in my life, so I called the office immediately to receive this information: “…with FL Blue it’s impossible for us to know if your session was really covered for 90 days, and we left a message on your voicemail in November 2022 for the sessions you received in August 2022. You didn’t seem to think it was important, so now in March of 2023 we are sending you your first bill” which is over $1000! They never mailed me any bill prior to when it reached over $1000? This is the most absurd practice I’ve ever heard of in my life and I can’t believe that no one at the office said anything to me. To just get a bill for over $1000 the year AFTER you think it’s all been handled by your insurance is outrageous. I would love to see my therapist again but I can’t because of the way this billing office operates. For a company dedicated to helping mental health they are CAUSING anxiety issues with their billing practices.
We took our son to this location to have him tested to see if he fell under the autism spectrum. We had to do a total of three visits in order to get him tested. The third visit we had to cancel twice because my son was going to visit his family over the Summer in the West Coast. We called the office and spoke to the receptionist after leaving several messages to inform her that our son one will not be in town and that we would call her to reschedule. Once our son came back from summer break we attempted to reschedule the last appointment and the receptionist said that we would have to pay a fee for having a no-show to our appointment. We tried to explain to her that we called and we canceled the previous appointments but she said that the office manager said that we missed those appointments. I took it upon myself to go down to the office with my phone bill to show that we spoke to the receptionist and left numerous messages to cancel those appointments. The office manager refused to go come outside and talk to me after me waiting there for 15 minutes. We did receive a write up from the doctor Dr. Mark S. Flynn about our sons diagnosis. It was incomplete, the doctor even put that we did not take him to all his appointments and that we were no-shows. We were besides ourselves on the lack of professionalism and customer service provided by the office manager and the doctor. We tried to make another appointment but the office manager wanted us to pay a fee for being no-shows when in fact we called and canceled those appointments. I would not recommend this doctor nor this office to anyone. It’s apparent that they don’t care about patients and all they care about is making a buck.
Recently had an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience with Cheryl Carlyon. During my visit, Cheryl was completely unhelpful, dismissive, and made the entire process unnecessarily difficult. Her demeanor was unkind and unwelcoming, and I felt that my concerns were completely disregarded. It was a waste of my time and money, leaving me frustrated and without any of the assistance I needed. This wasn’t the first time I’ve had a negative encounter with Cheryl. Years ago, I saw her for therapy and remember her being equally rude and unhelpful, so it is disheartening to see that her treatment of clients has not changed over time. To make matters worse, after I left her office and went to the front desk to gather more information, I overheard Cheryl talking negatively about me to her co-workers. This blatant disregard for my privacy is not only highly unprofessional, but also a violation of HIPAA laws, which protect patient confidentiality. I would strongly advise anyone seeking mental health services to look elsewhere. Cheryl Carlyon’s behavior was unprofessional, and her failure to respect client privacy is deeply concerning.
