I absolutely love this place. Melissa was my go to for everything and has helped me more than she will ever know. Always willing to listen and give sound advice and does an amazing job keeping structure and making the house feel like home to the girls. A great place to get to your life on track and meet some amazing people along the way.
This is my First Sober Living experience and let me tell you this I'm not going to lie when I first got here I was miserable and hated everything about this place paying rent to have a curfew, and having to share a room with somebody, mandatory meetings, it made no sense to me until I realize I'm retraining my mind and body because in recovery there's no just quitting and doing the same thing you got to reinvent yourself parrot baby can I follow simple rules how can you follow the steps to recovery. There good people here that take the recovery serious and always willing to listen give a helping hand hear it I'm not going to say this place is perfect because there's people here that don't in the basic of how to keep a house clean or cook, laundry and etc. Miss Mia she's amazing I love her and my house manager Byron when you hear that this man is one out of a billion I am not over exaggerating he is a great man. Wish this something I could do to take his workload but I can't keep up with this guy for 15 minutes. Also one rule city house nobody go hungry and Mr Byron he keep on forgetting I'm half his size and he still feeds me
This place and the staff here has truly been a gift from god for me personally and this not the first or second halfway house I’ve been to. From the location- to the cleanliness- to the onsite and off site management- the counselors that come do our therapy weekly meetings- to the pool- to the gym - to the food they feed us or give us when we want to cook for ourselves- to the movie nights - to the alumni clients that come back to share their story and how they started here and now are productive members in society, got their families and children back and the peace they have versus when they got here , to the little things the owners do just to show they GENUINELY AND PASSIONATELY LOVE AND CARE about every single piece of how this place runs and operates! Man I could go on and on and not bc I care to kiss their ass but from the bottom of my heart it’s how I truly feel! God knew what he was doing when they picked MEL 💕 Love you guys and thank you… really…
I had just got out of rehab my sponsor told me to come to this place. It's a bit pricey as I was homeless but he paid for the first month and said all meals were included. They give you a dry bologna sandwich for lunch with an expired snack from somebody's dumpster, accompanying it. They get most of their funding from project New Hope were they tried to make me go even though I was so financed. I share a room with a bipolar person who wakes up screaming in the night. My first night there I was offered crack...My mattress looks like it was pulled out of the woods. And if you like eating Pizza pasta and other gross meals then yes I guess it's included. None of the meals have meat in them if they do it's 1 oz per 50 people. They run you around like a slave and don't even offer basic television. If you have a car they will use your car to take other people around.I would waste my money elsewhere.
City house hands down best sober living house in North East Florida... Mr Dow runs a good house and everyone does there part to keep a positive and clean environment, very thankful for Ms Angie and Ms Mia .
