Great food! Very flavorful and fajitas meat was tender. Queso was perfect. Warm chips = excellent! Salsa could use a little more heat, but that's a personal preference. Service was friendly and fast. Decor was nice...lots of space for inside dining and groups. We are Mexican food snobs, but we really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back!
I have only been to Chidos a handful of times and half of those times we're with bad service. The most recent one, which was tonight, was probably hands down by far the worst service I have ever had there. The waitress confirmed my order twice when she took my order, and I confirmed it back to her once, and it still came out wrong. And not at the same time mind you, I ordered 4 tacos and got 2 when everybody else's order came out and then the third taco I got was wrong. And when they sent the third taco out, it was missing the ingredients, which they brought to the table for me to prepare myself. And then the last taco i ordered did not even come out until we were paying the bill. I ordered the 2 for 1 margaritas, and only got one during my meal. The last one I had to ask for and came in a to go cup without us even stating that we were ready to go. We only seen our waitress twice the whole visit. It was just a terrible experience. And like I said, this was not the first time that I had a bad experience here. But this is the first time that I've left a review. The food was okay. The service was even worse, but the atmosphere was probably the best thing about it. From now on I will be sticking to what I know, Laredo's is the best! The food is amazing the service is even better in the drinks are top-notch. Laredos for the win!
Food is always good. Been coming here for years! This last time service was not great! Waitress was nice and not that busy, another waitress was also working as well. We asked for simple things like more chips, refill on drinks, etc and the waitress kept forgetting so we ended up having to get up 3 times to be like hey remember us! Also found out they charge you for not using cash “non cash adjustments”. Didn’t see it posted anywhere inside its only on the bottom of your receipt after it’s already added in your total. Also portion sizes seemed smaller, stopped selling their 2 for 1 Margs to give their other drinks a “chance at selling” and now the cash charge. Maybe money troubles??
The entire staff are awesome and super accommodating. Sadly during my visit today I was suffering from severe heat exhaustion and dehydration, and in my infinite wisdom chugged two full glasses of water and ate chicken soup. I got up paid and as I was leaving vomited in the doorway (see the exorcist for reference). I cannot stress enough that this was entirely my fault and I deeply encourage more people to eat here as I am too embarrassed to eat there again. I am deeply sorry for my poor judgment and for the vomit.
Great service, good food and an awesome atmosphere. It was my birthday and Andrea and the team made my birthday an experience we will never forget. Thank you Chido's Mexican restaurant. ♥️
