Changing Homelessness

I wish I could give more stars, but I can't. I have had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Hope, who went above and beyond for me when I faced difficult circumstances. She is a dedicated individual with compassion and empathy for veterans. The job is more than just a paycheck; she genuinely cares. Joseph, her supervisor, supports her fully. Unfortunately, my experience with others has been less positive—they often seem more focused on the check and providing temporary solutions rather than offering consistent assistance. The building could benefit from a reset, but I encourage you to keep hope and seek help from people like Joseph, who truly care and are transparent about the process. It's important to be aware that the process can take up to six weeks, during which you might face challenges such as eviction, requiring persistent follow-up. Please consider your options carefully and have a plan B in case you need additional support before relaying on this organization

They have been a lifesaver. As a single father and disabled veteran things got very rough very quickly and we became homeless and lost everything before I could turn things around. With the help of the SSVF Changing homelessness program we have been able to get into an apartment, have furniture, help with food, and most importantly hope again. I can't express how grateful we are and how life changing they have been for us. We are still working on getting back on our feet but now have a foundation to do so. I now have hope where before I had all but gave up. Literally changes my life so I could be the father my son needs me to be. God bless you all and thank you for everything you all have done. I'm in tears writing this. Thank you so much for this second chance on life.

Mrs Sonia Amos. Is a delightful, kind, and patient person to work with. She always treated me with respect and a kind tone. EVEN when everything didn't go as planned, or things had to be redone. Even after I got out of the program, she would still double-check on me to make sure, If I still needed supplies or assistance. She went above and beyond the call of duty. As a Navy and Army Veteran that was very much appreciated 👏.

I came to them homeless, hopeless, and fearful of the future. From day one, Auntun welcomed me with a warmth I will never forget: she was the first to assist me, to listen without judgment, and to help me complete my application with patience and dedication. Subsequently, her team continued to demonstrate that same level of commitment. Thanks to their Bridge Payment program, I was able to secure an apartment and provide a safe roof over my family's heads. Diana attended to every detail—from activating utilities to communicating with the landlord—and provided support throughout the entire transition. Changing Homeless offers more than just financial aid; they restore hope. Today, I have a home thanks to the work of Auntun, Diana, and the entire team.thanks !!
