Cedar River Seafood

I visited the Keystone location today. The restaurant was clean, and the service was good, but I was very disappointed with the food and portion sizes. My meal included 8 shrimp, 1 deviled crab, and only 5 scallops for over $30. The scallops were not cooked properly, and the loaded baked potato came with no toppings, wasn't cut open, and was so hard it was difficult to eat.I've always been a big fan of Cedar River and have visited every location. I typically order large meals and have always been satisfied in the past. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet the quality or value I've come to expect. For the price paid, the portion size and food quality were very disappointing. I guess every location is different. I called immediately and the young lady who took my order asked me, "well what do you want done about it"...I dont think she was trying to be rude, just a young person responding. Yes I would like for us to make this right. Someone called me today from location. I called back but manager told them to twll me it wasn't her and she is busy at the moment which is understandable.

Friendly local place serving incredible fish and seafood options. Generous portions. I had the clam basket. It came with two sides. So I had coleslaw and a baked potato. Clams were light and delicious, not rubbery. I asked for cocktail sauce for them. My sister had the fish tacos. The fish was light and grilled and tasty. Neither one of us could finish our meals because the portions were so generous. But we still ordered desert just to try it. I had the incredible large carrot cake with walnuts in it. And she had the key lime pie. We like the crust of the pie but the key line flavor wasn't as intense as we've gotten at other restaurants in Florida. But if you're in the Keystone heights area and hungry for fish and seafood, I highly recommend

Great food great atmosphere great employees and great owner. We had an awesome time spending my husband 60th birthday at Cedar River Grill in Keystone Heights. It means a lot when the owner comes out and gets personal with his customers to make sure that everything is OK and that is what happens this day when we wanted to spend a great time eating great food. If you want to go somewhere to have this personal and friendly atmosphere this is the place to go.

Pictured is the best fried gator tail we’ve ever had! Not chewy at all! We split the chicken Alfredo and still had leftovers to take home. The hush puppies are excellent, but at $3.50 for 3 that’s a little too pricey for me. Nora was our server and she was a delight! She made the whole experience even more enjoyable! If you stop in ask for her, she’s awesome! Tell her Tim and Elsie sent you! 😊
