This Preserve was very relaxing and laid back. The short board walk and paved trails would be great for younger kids. A large dock around would be good for launching kayaks or potential fishing! As a birdwatcher, I didn’t see much (although I did go midday). I would highly recommend this park for any little ones in your family! Do be cautious of raccoons.
What a beautiful spot for walking, relaxing, a picnic, and so much more. Plenty of parking. Easy access. Picnic area. Trails for walking. Board walk- dock. Scenery is beautiful. It’s so tranquil and calming. There’s bus parking available. The entrance is hidden in beautiful foliage so keep an eye out for it.
This is a hidden but nice nature trail. The trail is around a mile with fully paved and boardwalk paths surrounding the edge of the intracoastal. There is a kayak launch and picnic tables at the trailhead.
Easy, well laid out, paved path. Short but very peaceful. Areas to put in for kayaking. Met some very nice people out there too
Small, but very nice calm place. Open until sunset, but you can get some evening life here still. I saw marsh rabbits and a lot of lizards. The information stands are creatively designed and bring up a lot of interesting information, but can benefit some maintenance. Free admission. All paths are great for strollers (and I assume wheelchair accessible as well)
