I’ve proudly called this community home since 2019, and I can honestly say I love living here. It’s a beautiful, safe, and welcoming place, and the staff truly make all the difference. A huge thank you to Fadil in maintenance. He works incredibly hard and never complains. Whenever I submit a maintenance request, he takes his time to make sure everything is fixed properly instead of rushing through the job. His dedication and work ethic do not go unnoticed. Andrea in the leasing office is phenomenal. She has so much patience, no matter how many questions I have or what issue comes up. She always goes above and beyond to help, and she’s one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. She genuinely cares about the residents, and it shows. Heather, the leasing manager, has only been here for a few months, but I’m already so impressed. She’s kind, professional, and clearly takes great pride in managing this community. You can tell she truly cares about keeping this a wonderful place to live. I can’t wait to see all the great things she’ll continue to do for this beautiful community. Thank you all for everything you do. It’s because of people like Fadil, Andrea, and Heather that I’m not planning on moving anytime soon! 😊
If I could give this apartment complex **0 stars**, I would. What started as an exciting experience quickly turned into an absolute nightmare. I was helping my son and his pregnant wife move into their first apartment, and everything seemed great during the leasing process. We were even told to arrive after 12:00 p.m. on move-in day because the apartment was being **professionally cleaned**. When we opened the door, it was obvious that had not happened. The vertical blinds for the sliding glass door were broken and lying on the floor. The washing machine was covered in black mold. There were dead roaches throughout the apartment, and we found roach eggs, droppings, and mold inside the kitchen cabinets, in the cabinet cracks, and even on the electrical box. It was heartbreaking to watch my son's pregnant wife get down on her hands and knees trying to scrub and disinfect the apartment before I told her to stop because no one should have to clean up a unit in that condition. When my son went to speak with the office, he was told that this apartment had been dealing with a roach infestation and had been undergoing treatment for the previous two weeks. That information should have been disclosed **before** move-in day so they could have chosen a different apartment. Instead, they were allowed to sign a lease and move into a unit that management already knew had a serious pest problem. The experience with management only made things worse. Heather, the property manager, was dismissive and unprofessional during the interaction. We requested a full refund and immediately moved everything back out. We then received an email stating our refund had been initiated and would take 3–5 business days. After that, my emails and phone calls were largely ignored. Weeks later, I contacted the corporate office, only to discover that **the refund had never actually been initiated** despite what we had been told. Corporate finally processed it on June 29, and we didn't receive the refund until July 5. This entire experience caused unnecessary stress for my son, his pregnant wife, and our family. A clean, habitable apartment should be the bare minimum on move-in day, and honest communication from management should be expected. Unfortunately, we received neither. I would strongly encourage anyone considering renting here to thoroughly inspect any apartment before signing or accepting the keys.
I'm so disappointed in this complex and closed amenities here. Ive been here almost 1 year, the last few months have been the worst. Pkayground has been closed for months, its not shaded and the metal is super rusted so it's not a good playground as is but its closed indefinitely. The pool has been closed for weeks with no update or urgency to clean or fix the pool. The gym is quite outdated with tears in equipment and some not working at all. Save yourself the money and do not rent here. The also tried to increase my rent, im out of here. Not paying full price when none of the amenities we moved here for are functioning consistently and well. Truly disappointing situation here at Carlyle. I would not suggest. Also thw buildings need mega love. They are failling apart, wasps nests everywhere as well.
I’ve lived here for going on 4 years. I can say for certain the BEST feature about living here is the maintenance. For example, if I submitted a maintenance request right now, within 30 someone would be here to fix whatever. Everything else, CRAP! When I first moved here from a crap apartment in Orange Park, I felt like I was moving into a resort. However, since then, 4 years ago, not one single thing has been upgraded or changed; well other than management companies and a raise in my rent. The buildings desperately need paint, the landscaping needs updating BADLY, like other than in front of the club house there’s no mulch at all. The community is not gated, one of the main reasons I moved here was for a gated community. That and the non-smoking aspect. Don’t get me started on that….not a day goes by that I’m not choking on smoke of some kind. There seems to be a pattern of consistent threatening and zero follow through. For instance. Don’t put trash bags in the concierge trash receptacle after pickup on Thursday through Sunday. Management says there will be a fine. Tenants do it anyway, but nobody gets a fine. The dumpster is like 750 feet away, but these lazy people are ridiculous and can’t seem to walk that far. Lots of threats….no follow through. I don’t know who own this property, I’d love a phone number or email address, if owned something like this I’d had pride in ownership, clearly this person does not!
I had an outstanding experience with Andrea the leasing agent. From the very first interaction, she was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. She took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Her communication was excellent—always responsive, clear, and proactive in keeping me updated. What really stood out was her attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure I felt confident and comfortable with my decision. It’s rare to find someone who combines professionalism with such a personal touch. If you’re looking for a seamless leasing experience, I highly recommend working with her!
