This has to be one of the coolest coffee shops in Jacksonville. If you’re looking for a spot with great drinks, a fun atmosphere, and a place you’ll want to hang out in, this is it. We tried Hojicha latte and matcha latte. Both are great, but I will definitely try hot matcha and Hojicha next time. The homemade Filipino cheesecake was so good. Creamy, rich and not too sweet. They serve Filipino sweets from baker’s son. I had a great chat with Barista Kevin & Arnold. They were so friendly and customer service was top notch. I would definitely come back
Cool place. Interior-wise, it might be my favorite in the area. Kind of industrial meets living room vibe. The cortado had a good kick. Alternative milk options were oat and pistachio(!) and prices are reasonable. Music is good too. Bear in mind they close at 3pm during the week, which is kinda early.
Honestly, Cafecito is such a breath of fresh air for the Riverside area. If you’re tired of the usual dark wood, moody lighting coffee shops, this place is the exact opposite. It’s super bright, industrial, and shared with a creative studio, so the energy in there is always buzzing. They literally have bleachers inside for seating, which gives it this really cool, community-centric vibe.
It has been really hard for me to find a coffee shop that is beautiful, offers good service, a sense of community, is comfortable, and—on top of that—serves excellent coffee. Well, Cafecito is that place; it’s ideal for ordering your coffee and an ube cheese roll (which is delicious, by the way), putting on your headphones, and working on your laptop. It’s also worth noting that the design is something you don’t often see in Jax; everything from the seating and the counter to the restrooms reflects great architecture and interior design.
Had the best little coffee date at Cafecito Jax 💜 I got the matcha latte and absolutely loved it, my husband tried the ube halaya latte, and one of the owners even gave my son some ube milk 🥹 We also had the ube coffee cake, everything was so yummy! The shop itself is so aesthetically beautiful, and we had the chance to chat with one of the owners who was incredibly kind and friendly. We’re visiting from Ocala, but we’ll definitely be coming back whenever we’re in Jacksonville☺️
