  I have been on my own little Goldilocks journey for the perfect background color for a current project ( Taking a Disco Nap, Thorn Alexander) and Cabana saved the day! I was shocked to find this color (Silk & Ivory Shrinking Violet) anywhere. This came so fast and is saving my stitching sanity. I’ve been struggling to find the perfect background color for for months (no joke, at least 4). I bought 12 skeins of Milan Foxtrot (recommended by the needlepoint shop I bought the canvas from) but it was far too pink for the design. I bought a skein of S&I Phlox to try, but that was too grey and not bright enough. Finally saw a single skein of Shrinking Violet and loved the color, so bought the only skein left in my LNS and started stitching it. It was perfect! But not one of my two LNS-es had any Shrinking Violet in stock and the other dozen or so shops I called or emailed around the country also didn’t have it, and didn’t know when they would get it. I had just about resigned myself to putting the canvas down until at least November (when one of my LNS-es is due to get their next shipment of S&I, no guarantees on colors) when I did one last google search for it. Cabana had enough skeins in stock and when it arrived (by some needlepoint miracle), it was close enough to my dye lot of my single skein that I didn’t have to rip anything out!
