Absolutely Love Deb and Mel . Great customer service and knowledgeable on all drinks. The Employee Wes, whole different story. I’ve never met a worker that breaks their neck to avoid dealing with a customer and cocky enough to say no when asked to help . Definitely some privilege going on in that area. If not for Ms Deb and Mr Mel you guys probably would collapse . Keep the people that actually work .
I am a long time customer of Broudys in St. Johns although not very frequent. I decided to stop in to buy some special wines for an upcoming family vacation. I picked up a hand shopping basket and proceeded to pick out 5 nice wines at good prices. I took the basket to the cashier and put the basket on the counter. He rung up the wine and I made payment. As I was getting ready to leave with my 2 bags, he said "Sir". I said "yes". He said "you can't leave the shopping basket there." I said "what?". He said "you have to take the basket back to the stand". I said "nice customer service". He said something like "we do the best that we can". Well, your "best" is not good enough for me. I doubt I'll be back. I forgot to mention I was the ONLY customer in the store, so it is not like he was busy. Plus, I'm 78 and was already carrying 2 bags of wine!
Broudys is a Fruit Cove staple now in a larger & easier to access building! Drive through service is still available and if you have any questions I've always found their staff fun and knowledgeable! During their grand reopening event they had countless vendors with samples and swag, very fun event to welcome their new location!
Locally owned, great selection, competitive pricing and knowledgeable staff. Drive thru if you already know what you want. Why would you go anywhere else?
