I rarely leave negative reviews, but after my experience with Bridges Auto, I feel obligated to warn others. I brought my 2012 Cadillac CTS to Bridges Auto to have the A/C repaired. The repair required removing the dashboard to replace the expansion valve, and I understood that it was a labor-intensive job. Randy assured me it would take approximately 3 to 4 days, so I dropped my vehicle off on a Wednesday afternoon expecting to have it back by the following week. When I stopped by on Friday to check the progress, I discovered my car was still parked in the exact same spot where I had left it. After speaking with Randy, he explained they only had one technician capable of performing the work, and that technician works somewhere else at another job and comes in only on his own time. This was never disclosed before I left my vehicle. The following Tuesday, I was told the repair couldn't continue because they needed a special tool they didn't have and had to order it. By Friday, I was informed the tool had arrived, but the technician still hadn't come in to perform the work. At that point, I had already been without my car for over a week and had to rent a vehicle through my insurance. The delays continued. During the third week, I was told they had broken a component while reassembling my dashboard. Randy said he had called multiple parts stores and dealerships but couldn't find the replacement, so they ordered one from eBay. Throughout this entire process, I was almost always the one initiating contact for updates. If I didn't call or stop by, I received little to no communication about the status of my vehicle. After more than three weeks without my car, I called again on Monday only to learn the replacement part still hadn't arrived. They refused to provide a loaner vehicle or help cover the cost of my rental. Frustrated, I personally went to the Cadillac dealership, where I found out they had the needed part a thermistor in stock the entire time. I purchased the part myself and brought it directly to the shop so they could finish the repair. I should not have had to do my own research or source parts for a repair I was paying them to complete. Communication from Randy was consistently poor. Phone calls often went unanswered, and text messages frequently weren't returned until a day later, if at all. After all the delays, the broken part, the lack of communication, and the fact that I had to locate and purchase the replacement part myself, they still refused to offer any compensation or even a partial reimbursement toward the $600 I spent on a rental car for one week and two days. I tried to be patient and understanding because I know unexpected issues can happen during repairs. However, this experience showed a lack of planning, poor communication, and very little concern for the inconvenience caused to a customer. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Bridges Auto. If you're looking for a shop that communicates well, stands behind its work, and values your time, I would look elsewhere. As a military member, I was especially disappointed by the lack of professionalism and customer care throughout this entire experience.
Great service! Came in without an appointment and they fit me in and got my jeep fixed in the same day! Super friendly and helpful staff as well. Will be going here for any other issues I have.
I can’t recommend Bridges Auto Repair enough! They recently worked on my GMC Yukon and saved me a significant amount of money by replacing my oil cooler hose for nearly half of what GMC quoted me. Randy was outstanding from start to finish. He took the time to explain the entire process, kept me informed throughout the repair, and made sure I understood exactly what was being done. I’ve trusted Randy with my vehicles for over a decade, and he has always been honest, knowledgeable, and dependable.
Took my daughter’s car there for AC issues after two other shops could not fix it. They did fix it at a reasonable price. Everyone we spoke to on the phone was polite.
They fixed the impossible. My windows were rolling up and down at will. My radio was changing stations and shutting off and turning it back on and sometimes the AC would work and sometimes it wouldn't. I brought it in. They did a thorough check and diagnostic and had it fixed in 3 days. Next time I have a problem I am calling them.
